About Susan
"I look forward to being part of your journey of self-exploration and growth."
Susan Zeitner is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with 21 years of experience in a variety of mental health settings. Susan provides individual therapy and couples/family therapy for children, adolescents, and adults. She uses a relational, client-centered approach to help clients with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma, relational issues, and adjustment to life transitions. Susan has a strong foundation in trauma and attachment-informed theory to help her understand how a client's personal history influences their experiences.
Susan completed her Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Sociology at the University of Illinois and her Master of Social Work (MSW) at the University of Chicago. She values the therapeutic relationship and strives to build a strong connection with each of her clients. Susan believes in using a collaborative approach in therapy, working together with her clients to gain an understanding of their challenges and strengths, and to help them build upon their strengths in order to achieve their personal goals.
Susan recognizes that the self-examination and transformation that occur in therapy require courage. She believes that one of the most important benefits of therapy is that you will never go through the process of change alone. Asking for help can be a difficult step, but if you can take that step, you're already on your way to finding your best self!

About Stephanie
"As an African American Christian woman, I bring warmth and empathy along with a unique way to explore any issues, having had experiences along with expertise that shaped my thinking."
Stephanie A. Haywood is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) who specializes in treating trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, women's issues, and narcissism in individuals, couples, and families. Stephanie has over 20 years of experience in the mental health field, working extensively with survivors of trauma and helping others cope through life's everyday challenges.
Stephanie completed her bachelor’s degree at Marquette University and her master’s degree in Community Counseling at Loyola University, Chicago. She is proud to be a Christian and believes that God has gifted her to do this kind of work.
Stephanie seeks to work with you toward meeting your goals and working through your painful experiences. She has found that most people don't seek help when they first need it because they believe they can "do it" themselves. Society would dictate that you embrace DIY culture, but Stephanie believes that God never meant for anyone to go it alone. Being a good listener is the first step in being able to engage others and truly connect on a deeper level. Stephanie has the ability to connect in such a way that brings comfort to clients when they first meet her.
