About Jessica
I am a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) with 18 years of experience supporting individuals through anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, stress, and self-esteem concerns. I take a collaborative, strengths-based, and compassionate approach to help clients build confidence, develop healthier patterns, and create meaningful change in their lives. I strive to provide a warm, grounded, and empowering therapeutic space where you can feel supported, understood, and encouraged to grow.
I earned my master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Valparaiso University. My work integrates solution-focused, client-centered, and goal-oriented approaches, using empathetic listening and practical strategies to help clients gain insight, strengthen coping skills, and make steady, meaningful progress toward their personal goals.
You deserve support that feels compassionate, positive, and free of judgment. Whatever you’re carrying, you don’t have to manage it alone. I’m here to listen, understand, and walk with you at your pace. When you’re ready, I’d be honored to support you on your journey toward greater peace, clarity, and emotional well-being.

"With nearly 2 decades in community mental health, I bring a caring, empathetic, and respectful approach grounded in the belief that—with the right support and motivation—every person has the capacity to grow and create a healthier, more fulfilling life."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I became a counselor because helping people is my passion; I’ve always been fascinated by how we relate to one another, and I find deep purpose in supporting individuals, couples, and families on their journeys toward understanding, growth, and meaningful improvement.
What types of clients do you work best with?
Clients who are motivated to make a change.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I wish all clients knew that therapy isn’t about being told what to do — it’s a collaborative process where I offer skills and guidance, but ultimately help you discover the path forward that feels right and authentic to you.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In our first session and the early stages of therapy, you can expect a warm, empathetic space where I focus on getting to know you—your background, your experiences, and what you're struggling with—while offering compassionate, supportive listening as we begin building a foundation for our work together.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My practice is shaped by life itself — family, kids, personal growth, education, and years in the mental health field — and every experience and client interaction has deepened my understanding, grounding my work in empathy, authenticity, and respect.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor therapy by truly listening to each client’s wants, needs, and priorities, then collaborating to create specific, measurable goals so our work is focused, meaningful, and aligned with what matters most to them.
