About Masi
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 16 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults as they navigate life’s challenges. I am also a certified Dialectical Behavioral Therapy therapist (DBT). I am deeply passionate about helping clients work through anxiety, depression, anger management, PTSD, and self-esteem concerns. My approach is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and evidence-based practices to ensure each client feels heard, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change in their lives.
I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Chicago State University, where I focused on working with families and individuals. My approach integrates mindfulness, meditation, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, and acceptance and commitment therapy to promote growth and resilience.
Clients can expect a safe, nonjudgmental space where they feel supported and encouraged throughout their healing journey. I believe in listening without judgment, offering positive feedback when needed, and helping clients find balance and self-acceptance. Let’s start your path to healing together.

"As a single mother and someone who has overcome traumatic events, I have the personal insight needed to face those life challenges that often result in hope, resiliency, and acceptance, creating a life worth living."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I always wanted to participate in helping others particularly with life's challenges and encouraging them as they regain their hope and change their perception of themselves in a healthy way.
What types of clients do you work best with?
Clients that understand providing homework is a way to move them through the therapeutic process and move them to a more healthy way of life. But if they don't get to the video or affirmation, or ground, etc. its okay we can complete at next session.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
Therapy and healing is a process and depending on the clients willingness to address the issue at hand will determine the length of time they will need sessions.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
During the first and second session we will be building rapport and some of the expectations from therapist and client. Then also the goals, two minimal that the client hopes to achieve.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
As a therapist, it very important for me that my clients feel comfortable with my style of therapy. If at any time the client does not feel comfortable with a skill building technique i.e. grounding, it's very very important that it's communicated to me and we will try something else that the client feels comfortable with i.e. TIPP.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
Some clients are willing to engage initially while others may be more hesitant. It's important to note that and ask questions that are appropriate and to reassure client that this is a safe space for them to share and it's also a non-judgmental space. I would encourage them to relax and become more comfortable.
