About
As a middle aged woman I understand many life issues including relationships, life changes and family dynamics.
I am a licensed independent clinical social worker with 28 years of experience in the mental health field. I am passionate about helping transitional age youth and adults address current and past issues to help them address their unique challenges. I specialize in depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, self-esteem, and major life transitions. I believe that talk therapy is a process of exploration of learning and growth.
I completed my Master of Social Work at Boston College. I am passionate about nature and have found much growth on hiking trails. This and an enriching family life enable me to provide the support and guidance my clients are seeking. I use mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and solution-focused therapy.
We all go through challenges and changes in life. I am confident that I would be able to help and support you on your journey to learn new skills and gain new perspectives that allow you to cope with whatever you are struggling with. If you are ready to do the work, schedule an appointment today!

People who want to climb Mt. Everest and make it back safely often hire a highly skilled guide—frequently one of the famous indigenous people, the Sherpas—to help them find their way and carry some of the baggage. Here, if your daily life is feeling like a long, hard climb up a steep mountain, similar assistance is available in the form of therapists such as myself, who have made that climb hundreds of times, know the way, and are experienced handlers of baggage. If you need a skilled companion, I would be honored to join your expedition.

Individual therapy, also known as Individual therapy, allows people to engage in private sessions with a skilled therapist, counselor, or psychologist. The core objective of individual therapy is to establish a secure and confidential setting where you can openly discuss whatever emotional, psychological, or behavioral challenges you face. Through these one-on-one sessions, the client and therapist work together to delve into, comprehend, and ultimately find solutions for the issues at hand in their life.
Individual therapy unfolds in a structured process, commencing with an initial assessment in which the therapist gathers essential information about your history, concerns, and objectives. Together, you and your therapist collaboratively establish specific, attainable goals for your sessions, which can encompass symptom alleviation, personal development, or finding solutions to particular challenges.
