Marnie Cosse, LPC

Philosophy of Care

Marnie Cosse’ is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas and Oregon helping adult clients meet their treatment goals. She completed her Bachelor of Science from Louisiana State University and received her Master of Arts in Counseling from George Fox University in Oregon.

Marnie’s holistic approach to counseling starts with establishing a safe environment of unconditional acceptance without judgment. Each person is unique and Marnie believes it is her responsibility to earn her client’s trust. With trust, Marnie can help her client find the hope and strength to accomplish their specific goals. Marnie works along side of her client while they take responsibility for their personal work.

Marnie employs an integrative approach to therapy building on a client’s existing strengths. She has a strong reliance on client centered, psychodynamic, dialectical behavior therapy and cognitive-behavioral therapy while integrating EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) when appropriate. She believes that people relate to others and situations based on past encounters. If we want to change how we act today, we need to understand our patterns, core beliefs and heal from our past experiences.

Marnie helps clients struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief, career/life goals, relationships, and self-care.
