In navigating the challenges of everyday life, I recognize the importance of prioritizing self care and exploring the areas of our lives that need healing.
Hello! My name is Lauren, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience working with adolescents and adults in telehealth, inpatient, and field-based settings. Many of the individuals I have worked with have experienced challenges related to relational and childhood trauma, sudden loss, complex marital dynamics, infidelity, negative peer relationships, body image concerns, and other life stressors. The individuals I have worked with are no different than most of us, who on some level are seeking balance, peace, and reassurance.
In our work together, we will explore the root causes of your most pressing concerns. Through mindfulness, person-centered, cognitive behavioral, and solution-focused approaches, we will work toward clarity and self-acceptance. You can expect a compassionate, judgment-free space for authentic self-expression, reflective listening, and renewed perspectives.
Being vulnerable and transparent in an unfamiliar environment can be difficult, but I hope to provide a comfortable space for sharing and exploration. I work well with individuals who are motivated toward change and insight. I have experience supporting those navigating depression, grief, anxiety, life transitions, and childhood and relational trauma.

As a black woman who's been married for 10 years and lives a very busy life, I understand the challenges that comes with marriage and society. As someone who has personally experienced depression and anxiety along with challenges in self-esteem, I understand how that can get in the way of the relationship with yourself, significant other, and family.
I have been practicing therapy since 2019 and hold an LPC. I typically work with couples who are facing communication challenges and broken trust along with helping them reconnect. I work with individuals and help them to gain healthy coping skills to deal with anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem.
I love to be collaborative with clients and be intuitive to specific needs they may have in the moment. That helps clients to feel seen and understood during their healing journey.
Healing is something we all must experience but being able to trust someone you can be vulnerable with makes it so much easier.

My go-to approach for helping people in cognitive behavioral therapy is to explore core beliefs, cognitive restructuring, and challenging negative thoughts. I prefer CBT because it equips the client with tools to correct their behaviors.
I teach the following tools in cognitive behavioral therapy:
I know a client is making meaningful progress in cognitive behavioral therapy when they are able to process their thoughts and behaviors without the clinician.
Clients can supplement their time in cognitive behavioral therapy by using the tools they've been given in sessions outside of therapy.
To prepare for their first cognitive behavioral therapy session, an individual can be open to learning new ways to function in their daily life.
At Thriveworks, Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a widely recognized and evidence-based form of psychotherapy or talk therapy. It focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns, emotions, and behaviors that can contribute to various mental health issues or challenges that people are struggling with.
Cognitive behavioral therapists specialize in Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and can help you to identify and comprehend your thought patterns, which often encompass automatic negative thoughts, cognitive distortions, and self-defeating beliefs. Once these negative thought patterns are pinpointed, cognitive behavioral therapists aim to challenge and replace them with the objective of fostering more constructive and logical thinking. In addition, these therapists place significant emphasis on implementing positive behavioral changes based on the newly established, healthier thought patterns.
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is particularly effective for addressing conditions like anxiety disorders, depression, phobias, and obsessive-compulsive disorders. It focuses on identifying and modifying negative thought patterns and behaviors, making it well-suited for issues related to distorted thinking and emotional regulation.
At Thriveworks, we accept most major insurance plans, allowing many clients to pay as little as $0–$50 per session with their co-pay. We also offer self-pay options for those out-of-network or without insurance. Self-pay rates for talk therapy range from $160 to $240 for intake sessions and $135 to $195 for follow-ups, depending on your state. For psychiatry services, self-pay intake sessions are $255–$375, with follow-ups ranging from $175–$300, also varying by state. More information on current self-pay costs is available on our pricing page.
The success rate of CBT varies depending on the intentions of the client and their condition(s).
The selection between cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is based on an individual’s unique needs and challenges. CBT is commonly chosen for addressing conditions such as anxiety and depression, whereas DBT is especially beneficial for individuals dealing with borderline personality disorder, emotional regulation issues, and difficulties in interpersonal relationships.
