About Ashley
I have been practicing therapy since 2019 and hold an LPC. I typically work with couples who are facing communication challenges and broken trust along with helping them reconnect. I work with individuals and help them to gain healthy coping skills to deal with anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem.
I love to be collaborative with clients and be intuitive to specific needs they may have in the moment. That helps clients to feel seen and understood during their healing journey.
Healing is something we all must experience but being able to trust someone you can be vulnerable with makes it so much easier.

"As a black woman who's been married for 10 years and lives a very busy life, I understand the challenges that comes with marriage and society. As someone who has personally experienced depression and anxiety along with challenges in self-esteem, I understand how that can get in the way of the relationship with yourself, significant other, and family."

What should clients know about you before scheduling a first counseling session?
You are in good hands! I will always abide by what you want to accomplish in future sessions.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
I love working out and I do that every day. I also enjoy spending time with my family both at home and on Zoom. I meet with my extended family via Zoom every Saturday. I also enjoy movies. I'm kind of a movie buff.
What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?
I'm inquisitive! There aren't a lot of things that I don't want to understand and investigate.
Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I became a counselor because I have a strong desire to help people improve their lives and be healed.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with clients who are ready to make changes and do the work to improve their life.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor therapy to meet each client's unique needs by understanding who the client is and what their life has been like for them.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
During the first session I find out about the problem. In the following sessions we spend time getting to know each other and see who you are as a person.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
This is a necessary process that helps you to be a better person.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
Dealing with unexpected changes and pain/hurt from others helps me to understand and how I should move forward with our work.
