My name is Katie Patton and I am a North Carolina native, mom of three, and proud military spouse. I received my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from East Carolina University in 2011 and my Master's in School Counseling with add-on licensure as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in 2019. I am also a National Certified Counselor (NCC). I provide counseling services to children, adolescents, adults, families, and groups, tailoring treatment to each individual's unique needs, strengths, and goals. I strive to provide a safe, compassionate, and collaborative environment where meaningful growth can occur.

Clients can expect a compassionate, nonjudgmental environment where authenticity, curiosity, and collaboration are valued. My goal is to help clients move forward and learn a holistic way of healing to challenge unhelpful patterns, build confidence, strengthen relationships, and develop tools to navigate life's challenges with greater resilience and hope.

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Winston-Salem State University in 2007 and a Master's in Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Behavioral Addictions from North Carolina A&T State University in 2012. I am a licensed clinical social worker associate (LCSWA) with 10 years of experience in the mental health field. I work with adults and young adults navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use concerns, mood disorders, and major life transitions. I have experience supporting individuals with complex mental health diagnoses and am committed to providing compassionate, person-centered care that meets clients where they are.

I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Kentucky after completing my bachelor’s degree in psychology from Fayetteville State University. My clinical experience includes work in psychosocial rehabilitation and day treatment settings, where I utilized CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, psychodynamic, and person-centered approaches.

I believe meaningful change happens through collaboration, trust, and consistency. I strive to create a supportive and nonjudgmental space where you can explore challenges, build coping skills, and work toward improved mental health and overall well-being. Maxine is a licensed clinical mental health counselor with five years of experience supporting people through life's challenges. She has worked with clients ages five and up in private practice, schools, and online settings. She helps people navigate depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, low self-esteem, adjustment disorder, ADHD, grief, and loss.

Her approach is personalized and integrates a range of evidence-based modalities—including client-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, narrative therapy, attachment theory, existential therapy, gestalt therapy, and motivational interviewing. She also offers strengths-based Christian counseling.

I am a North Carolina Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with over 20 years of counseling and human services experience. I offer assistance with mood disorders, social issues, relationship concerns, divorce recovery, personal growth issues, self-esteem, trauma, parenting issues, diversity/multicultural issues, women’s issues, adjustment challenges, and family of origin issues. I have a special interest in supporting parents of children who were born prematurely (or who are medically fragile) as well as those who have experienced challenging pregnancies. I also provide Christian counseling.

My therapeutic focus includes family system work; personal responsibility; exploring how values and beliefs impact goal setting; developing coping skills; and understanding how emotions and thoughts impact behavior and change. I believe therapy is cooperative and collaborative. The therapeutic process identifies, emphasizes, and utilizes personal resources.
