I am a therapist with a Bachelor's degree in Social Work and a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with 10 years experience. I work with individuals, couples and families. I particularly have a passion for supporting girls and women as they navigate the unique challenges, expectations, and realities they face in society. I strive to create a warm and culturally sensitive environment where every client feels valued, supported, and heard as they work toward healing and growth.

My approach combines Person Centered Therapy (PCT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution - Focused Brief Therapy, (SFBT), Narrative Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients feel understood, recognize counterproductive patterns, build on their strengths, and create meaningful change. I support and work with individuals, couples, and families navigating anxiety, trauma, depression, PTSD, ADHD, bipolar disorders, grief and loss, life transitions, self esteem issues, Infidelity, and relationship and family difficulties. I believe that healing begins with feeling heard and understood and I tailor our work to your specific needs, helping you develop practical coping skills, rediscover your strengths and build a healthier relationship with yourself and others.

My goal is to help you feel seen, heard, understood and empowered, not merely to manage life's difficulties but to also discover new ways of understanding yourself, navigating challenges, and moving toward the life you desire.

"As a Zimbabwean - American shaped by life across four countries and three continents, I bring cultural understanding, empathy, and professional insight into trauma, loss, and resilience."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

I decided to become a counselor because I believe everyone deserves to be heard, understood, and supported through life's challenges. Having lived in four countries, across three continents, I have developed a profound appreciation of how culture, trauma, and change impacts our experiences. My background allows me to combine professional knowledge with a compassionate, culturally sensitive approach to help individuals, families, and couples navigate challenges, build resilience, and realize their strengths. Ultimately, my choice to become a counselor was influenced by my desire to create a space where people feel safe to share their stories, supported enough to heal, and empowered to create meaningful change in their lives.

What types of clients do you work best with?

I have worked with preteens, teens, young adults, and adults of both genders.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

I wish every client knew that healing is never a straight line and that one does not need to have everything figured out to start therapy. Therapy is a journey we take together, at the client's pace, using your strengths and experiences to help you understand yourself better, navigate challenges and attain the change you desire.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

You can expect a warm, welcoming, and space where I begin getting to know you and your story. My priority is to build trust, and work at a pace that feels comfortable for you. Together, we will build on your strengths and develop practical tools to help you journey through life.

What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?

I value empathy, kindness, and authenticity. Informed by my experiences, I believe every person has a story worth hearing. I believe healing begins when people feel seen, heard, and understood, and my role is to walk alongside each client through the process.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

I take time to understand each client's story, their personal values, goals, and challenges, and draw on relevant approaches to meet their individual needs. I work collaboratively with the client in creating a treatment plan that suits their needs and goals best.
