Ashley Neal, LPC-MHSP

Philosophy of Care

Ashley Neal is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a background in working with children, adults, and families. She has assisted clients who struggle with a myriad of diagnoses including bipolar disorder, conduct disorder, disruptive mood dysregulation disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), major depressive disorder, and oppositional defiant disorder.

Ashley obtained her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Memphis. She has worked in homes and the community, in residential treatment and outpatient treatment; Ashley has also done group work, family sessions, and individual sessions. She enjoys working with any client that is ready to start their journey of healing and helping them get to the root of their issues followed by developing skills they can use long after therapy has ended. Using her clinical skills, she can help her clients come up with the best way to help them based on their unique personalities and challenges.

As a black woman, Ashley understands the unique challenges women face — especially women of color — that can often be overlooked and diminished. She believes everyone has a story to tell and a journey to walk, and she hopes to help you along that journey. Ashley utilizes a whole-person approach, as people and their lives are multi-dimensional. This includes looking at physical and mental health, relationships, and history.
