Philosophy of Care

Dr. Adriana Morales is both a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst in the State of Tennessee who has over 26 years of clinical experience partnering with children, adolescents and their families as well as adults with intellectual disabilities (ID) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Dr. Morales completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Florida International University, received her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University and her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Carlos Albizu, APA accredited program in Miami, Florida. Dr. Morales utilizes strength-based approach, cognitive behavioral strategies, mindfulness and solution-focused therapy. She always maintains an awareness necessary to best meet the needs of every unique individual, couples and families. Philosophy of Care 

Karyn Britt is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Tennessee with 7 years of counseling  experience which has included treating youth and families through cognitive behavior therapy, trauma  focused cognitive behavioral therapy, and collaborative problem solving. She has worked mostly with  adolescents 10-17 and is now also seeking to help adults in their therapeutic journey. Karyn has helped  people with issues of family conflict, social skills, stress, parenting skills, communication, healthy  boundaries, trauma, anger, and self-esteem. Karyn is ready provide therapeutic support in exploring  issues with how your family of origin impacts your belief system and relationships, understanding and  discovering potential life purpose, and intersection of Christian faith/spirituality. She is warm and  focused. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Memphis and a Master  of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  

Karyn will engage in learning about you and creating a set of issues/concerns that you want to target in  therapy. There will also be time spent in open processing, as needed. Karyn utilizes cognitive behavioral  interventions and collaborative problem-solving skills as the primary mechanisms for therapy work. The  

therapeutic relationship and human connection is one of the most important aspects of successful  therapy – building trust and authenticity will be the foundation for processing your issue(s). Your  problem(s) is a rock – you and Karyn will work together to crush it, carry it, go around it, climb over it or  just sit on it. More than anything, Karyn wants to be a helper in your time of need; a presence of truth,  light, and someone to hear and help you carry the things that feel too much for yourself.

Valerie McKinney is a Licensed Professional Counselor – Mental Health Care Provider. Valerie is a graduate from the University of Memphis and has over 16 years of experience.

She enjoys working with adults (18 and over) who are interested in addressing issues that are holding them back or hindering them from reaching their potential in any or all areas of their lives. She encourages, supports, and asks thought provoking questions as the client identifies and explores life changing issues.

Valerie uses an eclectic approach in the therapeutic process with an emphasis on developing therapeutic rapport while using Reality Therapy, Cognitive Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She has experience working with individuals who struggle with depression, anxiety, grief issues, forgiveness issues, and other life stressors.
