Whitney Coulombe is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with 20 years of experience in the mental health field. She is passionate about helping adolescents, adults, and couples address their unique challenges in order for them to gain a better sense of overall peace and wellbeing. Whitney specializes in anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, stress, and relationship issues.

Whitney completed her Master of Social Work (MSW) at the University of Tennessee. She views the counseling experience as a collaborative process, focusing on the uniqueness of each individual. Whitney utilizes multiple treatment approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, solution-focused, and client-centered approaches.

We all go through challenges in our lives that may be difficult to cope with on our own. Whitney will support you by giving you the most effective tools to achieve your goals. Whitney seeks to establish a caring relationship and assist you in identifying your strengths and building on them to gain a better sense of overall wellbeing. She will be your collaborative, empathetic guide throughout the therapeutic process.

Why did you decide to become a counselor?

Since I can remember, I have always been empathetic to people that are going through hardships and I am an excellent listener. Helping others has always been second nature to me.

I work best with clients who are motivated and dedicated to improving coping skills and overall wellbeing.


What type of clients are you most excited to work with?

I am most excited to work with clients who are open and honest with their struggles and desire to accomplish the goals they set for themselves.

I wish all clients knew how much inner strength and resiliency they have to draw on in order to strengthen themselves.
