About
Hi! I’m Elizabeth, and I’m passionate about helping others recognize the powerful impact mental health has on our happiness, fulfillment, and overall well-being. My goal is to create a supportive space where you can grow, heal, and thrive.
I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with 8 years of experience dedicated to helping individuals enhance their mental well-being, build stronger relationships, and rediscover purpose. Using a personalized, client-centered approach, I've worked across various treatment settings providing crisis stabilization, short-term, and long-term care in intensive psychosocial rehabilitation, outpatient clinics, and residential facilities. I've supported adults with severe and persistent mental illness, including forensic backgrounds, as well as adolescents, adults, and couples addressing anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional regulation, communication issues, and life transitions.
My approach is rooted in strengths-based and compassion-focused care. I believe in tailoring each therapeutic experience to honor your unique identity, values, and goals. My clinical framework integrates evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, positive psychology, and creative therapeutic techniques to support your journey toward healing and growth.
Taking the first step toward therapy can feel daunting, but I provide a supportive and nonjudgmental space where you can gain insight, develop effective coping strategies, and move toward meaningful change. Whether you're navigating life stressors or working toward long-term healing, I'm here to guide you on your path to wellness and a more empowered life.

Borderline personality disorder (BPD) is a mental illness marked by distorted self-image, mood swings, and an intense fear of abandonment. Borderline personality disorder can go undiagnosed and untreated for years –– but we want you to know that support is available. Therapists, counselors, and psychiatrists have the skills and training to diagnose BPD and treat its symptoms. Do you want to reduce your BPD symptoms and live a happier, healthier life? Consider calling our office at Thriveworks Counseling in Maitland, FL, today.
BPD can be diagnosed fairly early –– sometimes as early as 12 years of age in some people. However, most diagnoses are made in late adolescence or early adulthood. Borderline personality disorder impacts your self-image, how you relate to others, and how you act. These symptoms can cause a great deal of stress, but BPD is treatable.
Some of the most common BPD symptoms include:
Mental health professionals usually diagnose BPD by using psychological evaluations, questionnaires, and interviews. Your medical and mental health history can be valuable, as well as a discussion of the symptoms you’ve been experiencing. Once a diagnosis is made, most people with BPD will benefit from some form of talk therapy.
There are a few types of psychotherapy that are frequently used to treat BPD:
Talk therapy is the most commonly used treatment for BPD, but medications can be a part of some treatment plans. There isn’t a medication that treats BPD directly, but some medications can help treat anxiety and depression –– disorders that frequently occur alongside BPD. Managing these concurrent disorders can help you reduce the symptoms of BPD more easily.
