About
As a psychiatric nurse practitioner who has walked alongside people facing trauma, instability, and complex mental health needs, I approach care with deep empathy and a commitment to meeting you exactly where you are.
I am a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) with 8 years of experience supporting individuals across a wide range of emotional and behavioral concerns. I work with clients experiencing mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, personality disorders, and significant life transitions. Many clients come to me feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected, and I provide a compassionate, nonjudgmental space to help them gain clarity, stability, and a path forward.
I earned my Master of Science in nursing from Walden University. My approach integrates evidence-based medication management with a collaborative, trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and holistic perspective. I tailor treatment to each individual’s unique needs and goals while prioritizing safety, understanding, and empowerment throughout care.
Seeking support can feel overwhelming, but you do not have to navigate these challenges alone. I am here to walk alongside you with compassion, patience, and respect. Together, we will work toward relief from symptoms, improved coping skills, and meaningful, lasting change when you are ready to begin.

Yes, we offer comprehensive psychiatric services to meet your mental health needs.
Psychiatry allows people struggling to manage mental conditions or disorders to get access to medications that will make daily functioning easier, as well as work through any mental factors that might be causing or worsening their condition. Though medications can’t cure mental disorders, medication can make symptoms more manageable, making the process of psychotherapeutic treatment easier and more effective. Psychiatric care can be available through in-person psychiatry and online psychiatry, depending on where you live and your own preferences. However, psychiatric providers at Thriveworks in Albuquerque, NM specifically offer online psychiatry to their clients.
A therapist has an education specifically rooted in therapeutic practice, approaches, techniques, and treatment. They cannot prescribe medications for clients, though they often refer clients to psychiatrists for medication management. Psychiatrists are medically trained doctors who specialize in mental health treatment, mainly through medication management and prescription, though they can also practice therapy.
A Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a highly trained and licensed professional who specializes in mental health care. They are qualified to diagnose and treat mental health conditions, prescribe medications, and provide therapy. Psychiatric NPs at Thriveworks are qualified to prescribe medications for a variety of mental health conditions. They work closely with you to develop a personalized treatment plan.
Oftentimes, psychiatrists or psychiatric professionals will perform a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, which involves an in-depth discussion about your symptoms, medical history, and current medications. Once they reach a diagnosis, they may suggest starting certain medications depending on your condition and the intensity of your symptoms.
Yes. At Thriveworks, we offer online-only psychiatry services for optimal comfort and convenience.

It is difficult for many of us to ask for help from others. This proves especially true when it comes to our mental health. While the stigma is slowly fading away, the stigma that surrounds mental health is still preventing many people from receiving the mental health services that they need to live a happy, healthy life.
