Philosophy of Care

Anyone can benefit from counseling if they are invested in the process. I meet clients where they are and work to build a trusting rapport and professional relationship. Together we identify how I can best help them, so they can achieve meaningful and positive life changes. Counseling is a tool to become more insightful and self-aware. I want my clients to know I support and value them, and always highlight whatever individual issues they bring into therapy. It can be a difficult, sometimes painful process, one that I am there to help support the client's emotional growth and potential. I believe it is about the journey of building a trusting relationship, encouraging hope and healing throughout the process.

I am passionate about raising awareness of the critical importance of mental health in every community. No one should ever feel stigma or judgement. Mental health is integral to our overall well being, and should be given the attention and care everyone deserves to promote a healthy existence. This is true for individuals, families, and our communities at large.

In a world where we focus on building strong physical health, solid educational backgrounds and financial fitness, our emotional health and relationships may not always take precedence. It can be hard deciding who to trust and I appreciate your consideration. Our therapeutic relationship is important and I welcome feedback to ensure that my approach is working for you. It is my hope that we can work together to foster your personal growth and find long-term solutions that enable you to have the life you want, because when your relationships and mental health are strong, every other facet of your life improves.
