Maumelle Counseling – Therapists, Counselors, Mental Health Services

Do you have images of counseling that involve laying down on a couch, crying, and talking about when you were a toddler? If so, you need to realize that coaching and counseling can be whatever you need it to be at the time. Counseling takes on many different forms, and is tailored to each person’s unique needs. There may some truth to the traditional couch scenario, but it simply depends on what your emotional state and goals are for your counseling session. When you connect with a Thriveworks  Provider in Maumelle, you can begin a journey of discovery, growth, and change with a trusted professional.

Sometimes in life or in difficult situations, it helps to just have a fresh perspective. Taking the time out of your busy life to analyze your emotions and feelings can help you move forward in a healthy, positive way. Thriveworks  Providers will conduct a thorough assessment of your strengths and weaknesses, as well as for your time together. They will then help you determine your goals and remember your dreams. Your counselor or coach can help you create an action plan, and then walk with you on that journey of change. Making that call is the first step in creating the life you really want and need.

Jacob Glose, LPC

Philosophy of Care

Jacob is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Missouri and Arkansas with  nearly 10 years of experience in the mental health field working with children, adolescents, and adults. Jacob offers insight-oriented psychotherapy for those looking to expand their  understanding of themselves and their relationships. Jacob also provides treatment for  difficult emotions, anxiety, depression, trauma, relational and family challenges, as well as  working with parents to improve and deepen their relationship with their children.

Taking the first step toward healing can feel daunting. Much of therapy is slowing down to  reflect on ourselves to understand our experiences, work through painful feelings, and to  create new meaning in our lives. Therapy can offer opportunities to understand and know  yourself on a deeper level to live a life that is richer, more vibrant, and connected.

Jacob’s approach to psychotherapy is both warmly collaborative and challenging. The  therapeutic relationship is one of the most significant factors in therapy and it’s built on trust,  consistency, transparency, and safety. The first few sessions will be about building trust and  familiarity, creating a plan for how to best utilize therapy and then together, beginning to  explore the challenges in your life that feel hard to manage alone.

Zack Coco, APRN

Philosophy of Care

Zack Coco is a Nationally Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.  This gives him prescriptive authority, which allows him to prescribe and manage medications. He received his Master of Nursing Science degree from The Ohio State University and has experience treating depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, eating disorders, insomnia, and substance abuse disorders. Being certified in mental health treatment throughout the lifespan, Zack is able to see children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.

Zack’s goal with medication management is to meet his patients where they are, and help get them to where they’d like to be. He works diligently with his patients to find the best medication for them. To achieve this, he encourages open and honest dialogue, while offering a friendly, safe, and judgment-free environment. As medications can affect everyone differently, he is also interested to know how well the prescribed medication is working for you, and if you’ve had any problems or side effects from its use.

Zack believes that medication management is just one piece of the puzzle when it comes to treating any type of mental illness. Having a well-rounded treatment plan including medication, therapy, and a good working relationship between the patient and provider are all pieces that are needed for the best possible treatment outcomes. For that reason, he requires that all patients receiving medication services be in therapy as well.

People Love Our Providers!

Thriveworks Counseling Maumelle

Better than I imagined!!!

★★★★★
I cannot say enough good about this place. They honestly do strive to get you in to see a practitioner quickly. And the importance of being seen soon to someone who is at a bad psychological point cannot be understated. It can, literally, mean the difference between life and death. After years of no longer being able to trust mental health providers due to so much misdiagnosis I reached out to Thriveworks. I asked for a particular practitioner, and they had me in to see her the following day. Kristy's approach was welcoming, empathetic, friendly, and down-to-earth. She did not speak down to me as a patient, but she made a comfortable effort to connect from the beginning. Gaining my trust over several weeks she was able to start showing me some things no one ever took the time to extract. She found me at the precipice of a terrible situation and worked me back from the ledge. Her input to Zack, along with his personable and empathetic personality, finally got me on medications that actually have improved my situation more than I could have ever imagined. The combination of her therapy and the medications have me, for the first time in decades, recognizing a hope for the future. All I can say is if you are that person who has lost hope and feels as though you have no purpose, let the Thriveworks team have a chance to show you a you even you didn't know existed. Without hyperbole I can honestly say I owe my life going forward to Kristy and Zack.
