About
With 30 years of experience in mental health and behavioral health across a variety of settings, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to my work, helping those seeking meaningful, lasting change.
I am a licensed clinical marriage and family therapist (LMFT, LCAC) with 30 years of experience working with individuals, couples, families, and groups navigating mental health concerns, addiction, family dysfunction, blended family dynamics, trauma, and life transitions. I also support children, adolescents, and adults facing men’s issues and major life adjustments.
I earned my master’s degree in marriage and family therapy from Friends University. My approach includes cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, the Gottman method, and emotionally focused therapy to help clients build healthier coping skills, strengthen relationships, and process trauma in meaningful ways.
Seeking help is not always easy, but taking that first step shows courage. I strive to meet you where you are and work collaboratively to help you create meaningful change and reach your personal goals. I look forward to hearing from you

As one who has experienced traumatic life changes and transitions, I have an authentic understanding of how painful and often unexpected circumstances impact us and how we can build new life skills that empower and heal us.
I am a licensed specialist clinical social worker (LSCSW) with 30 years of experience in mental health and child welfare. I work with individuals and families of diverse backgrounds and all ages in both rural and urban communities. My specialties include trauma, loss and grief, early childhood mental health, child abuse and neglect, family relationships, and foster care and adoption.
I earned my master’s degree in social work from the University of Kansas. My approach is strengths-based and trauma-informed, incorporating cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy, and family systems therapy. I help clients understand how trauma can affect their sense of self and relationships while building healthier coping strategies.

As a nurse practitioner, I combine evidence-based medication management with compassionate listening to support the whole person—not just their diagnosis.
I am a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) with 18 years of experience providing compassionate, person-centered care to adolescents and adults. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma-related symptoms, and emotional dysregulation. Many of the patients I support feel overwhelmed or frustrated by symptoms that interfere with daily functioning and relationships, and I work to help them gain clarity, balance, and practical tools for long-term stability.
I earned my master’s degree in nursing from Maryville University. My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and grounded in evidence-based medication management. I take time to understand each patient’s full story and develop individualized treatment plans that support symptom relief and sustainable progress.
Seeking support takes courage, and you do not have to navigate this process alone. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where concerns are taken seriously, and progress happens in realistic, manageable steps. When you are ready, I would be honored to work alongside you on your path toward healing and balance.
You deserve dedicated time with a mental health professional — it can be life-changing.

Yes, there are therapists who help with anger via Anger management therapy. It’s a therapeutic process that an individual goes through to manage their anger and identify its triggers. They’re given clear instructions on how to improve their angry behavior as well as a safe space for opening up about their emotions.
Once an individual’s triggers are identified, anger management therapy focuses on helping the individual process and respond to these emotions in a more positive and productive manner. The anger management therapist will provide coping strategies and ultimately help their client take back control of their anger.
The five keys to mastering anger include identifying triggers, pausing before reacting, calmly expressing emotions, discovering constructive outlets for frustration, and seeking professional assistance if necessary. Acquiring these skills through Anger management therapy empowers individuals to effectively manage and navigate their anger.
The best therapy for anger management often involves cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), which helps individuals identify and change patterns of thinking and behavior related to anger.
Anger management therapy at Thriveworks is conducted both in person and online by video. We encourage you to choose the option that works best for you.
Often, Anger management therapy lasts between 4-6 weeks. However, it can last longer, dependent on the individual’s needs.
