About Lindsey
I am a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) with 18 years of experience providing compassionate, person-centered care to adolescents and adults. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma-related symptoms, and emotional dysregulation. Many of the patients I support feel overwhelmed or frustrated by symptoms that interfere with daily functioning and relationships, and I work to help them gain clarity, balance, and practical tools for long-term stability.
I earned my master’s degree in nursing from Maryville University. My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and grounded in evidence-based medication management. I take time to understand each patient’s full story and develop individualized treatment plans that support symptom relief and sustainable progress.
Seeking support takes courage, and you do not have to navigate this process alone. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where concerns are taken seriously, and progress happens in realistic, manageable steps. When you are ready, I would be honored to work alongside you on your path toward healing and balance.

"As a nurse practitioner, I combine evidence-based medication management with compassionate listening to support the whole person—not just their diagnosis."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I chose to become a psychiatric nurse practitioner because I saw firsthand how deeply mental health affects every aspect of a person’s life, and how powerful it is when someone finally feels understood and supported. I wanted to be the kind of provider who listens closely, treats people with dignity, and helps them find real relief and hope through thoughtful, compassionate care.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with adolescents and adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma-related symptoms, and emotional dysregulation who are seeking thoughtful medication support, emotional understanding, and realistic tools for meaningful change.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
Healing is not linear, and progress doesn’t mean never struggling—it means learning how to move through hard moments with more understanding, support, and self-compassion.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In your first session, we’ll focus on understanding your current challenges, goals, and treatment history. You can expect a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard and supported. Early sessions are about building a personalized plan, which may include medication management and practical strategies for coping and growth. My approach is collaborative, and I’ll guide you through realistic steps toward feeling better.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
Working in healthcare has shown me how often mental health struggles go unseen or misunderstood. This motivates me to approach every patient with patience, curiosity, and a commitment to providing thoughtful, individualized care.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor therapy to each patient by listening closely to their story, understanding their goals, and creating a treatment plan that fits their unique needs. This may include medication management, coping strategies, or skill-building exercises, depending on what will be most helpful. My approach is collaborative and flexible, designed to help patients feel understood, empowered, and supported as they make progress.
