I am a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) with 15 years of experience providing compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care. I work with children ages 10 and older, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, mood disorders, trauma, and psychotic disorders. Many of the clients I support feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, or stuck and are seeking clarity, stability, and relief.
I earned my master’s degree in nursing from the University of South Alabama. My approach is collaborative, individualized, and compassionate, with a focus on understanding each client’s full experience, strengths, and goals. My go-to approach for helping people in grief & loss counseling is a combination of person-centered therapy and grief-focused interventions. To prepare for their first grief & loss counseling session, an individual can practice being patient with themselves. Recognize that change takes time, and therapy is a journey. Be patient and compassionate with yourself as you navigate the ups and downs of the therapeutic process.
