About Blessing
I am a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) with 15 years of experience providing compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care. I work with children ages 10 and older, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, mood disorders, trauma, and psychotic disorders. Many of the clients I support feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, or stuck and are seeking clarity, stability, and relief.
I earned my master’s degree in nursing from the University of South Alabama. My approach is collaborative, individualized, and compassionate, with a focus on understanding each client’s full experience, strengths, and goals. I provide thoughtful evaluations, clear education, and treatment planning that may include medication management and supportive care.
Seeking mental health care can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. I strive to meet clients with respect, understanding, and support while helping them improve emotional well-being and daily functioning. I would be honored to support you as you take the next step toward healing and growth when you feel ready.

"I believe healing happens when you feel genuinely heard, respected, and supported as a whole person, not just a diagnosis."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I chose to become a psychiatric provider because I have seen how deeply mental health affects every part of a person’s life and how powerful it can be when someone finally feels understood and supported. Throughout my clinical experience, I’ve worked with individuals who struggled in silence due to stigma, fear, or lack of access to care. I wanted to be a provider who listens, educates, and walks alongside clients as they build stability, insight, and hope for the future.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with children ages 10 and up, adolescents, and adults who are seeking support in managing symptoms of anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, PTSD, mood disorders, and psychotic disorders. I help clients gain clarity around their mental health, develop a personalized treatment plan, and optimize medication management when needed. My approach combines careful assessment, education, and ongoing support to help clients feel more stable, balanced, and confident in their daily lives.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I wish all clients knew that healing is not linear, and seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. Progress often comes in small steps, and therapy combined with personalized care can provide the support, tools, and understanding needed to navigate challenges and build lasting change. You don’t have to face mental health struggles alone, and taking the first step is often the most important part of the journey.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In your first session, we’ll take time to get to know you, understand your concerns, and review your mental health history. I will listen carefully to your experiences, discuss your goals, and begin developing a personalized treatment plan that may include therapy strategies, coping tools, and medication management if appropriate. In the early stages, clients can expect a supportive, nonjudgmental space where we focus on understanding your needs, building trust, and creating a clear path toward stability, relief, and growth.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My practice is deeply informed by over a decade of experience in mental health care, as well as my understanding of the stigma and cultural barriers many people face when seeking support. I value empathy, respect, and collaboration, and I am committed to creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and empowered. I believe that every person has strengths and resilience, and my role is to help them access those tools while guiding them toward clarity, balance, and improved well being.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor care to each client’s unique needs by listening closely to their experiences, goals, and challenges. My approach may include therapy strategies, practical coping skills, and medication management when appropriate. Together, we create a flexible, personalized plan that supports symptom relief, emotional regulation, and meaningful progress.
