About Tayeka
I am a licensed marriage and family therapist associate (LMFT-A) with 9 years of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families as they navigate relational challenges, emotional stressors, and major life transitions. I have worked across diverse settings providing in-home services, crisis intervention, parenting and co-parenting support, and family-focused care. I’m committed to helping clients strengthen communication, build emotional resilience, and create healthier, more fulfilling connections.
I earned my master’s in marriage and family therapy from Brandman University. I take a personalized, evidence-based approach, drawing from cognitive behavioral therapy, emotionally focused therapy, solution-focused therapy, and narrative therapy. I specialize in anxiety, depression, anger, grief, relationship issues, and communication challenges.
Everyone struggles at times, but you don’t have to face those moments alone. I offer a warm, judgment-free space where you can explore your emotions, gain clarity, and build meaningful coping skills. I’m here to support your healing and help you move toward the balanced, connected life you deserve. I look forward to working with you.

"As someone who has struggled silently, I know the pain of being strong. I provide a culturally sensitive and compassionate environment where you are seen, heard and supported. "

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
Therapy doesn't mean that you are broken, it's more like a compass, a GPS if you will. With your personal guide on your journey to a healthier, happier you.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
The early stage of therapy is centered on getting to know the client, understanding their experience and getting their definition of the problem. During the stage, the client is also getting to know me as their therapist. There is also a collaborate effort in creating goals for treatment. Clients can expect to be seen and heard as we build a trusting therapeutic relationship, one that is client-centered and supportive.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I actively listen to each client to discover what's important to them. And most importantly, I ask each client about their need/desire and evaluate/reevaluate and adjust treatment goals as necessary
