Allison Elaine Spieler, LICSW

Allison Spieler is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with over 6 years of experience providing strengths-based, trauma-informed, and client-centered care to children, teens, adults, and seniors who are seeking relief from anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavioral issues, family conflict, life transitional issues, chronic stress, relationships, academic difficulties, and chronic stress.

Allison received her Master's degree in Social Work from Azusa Pacific University. She has experience working with clients suffering from substance use and co-occurring disorders at an outpatient substance use treatment center. There, Allison provided individual and group counseling services, case management, and detox support while working in a team-based setting with other clinicians, doctors, and psychiatrists. Allison also trained service providers throughout Southern California on a variety of topics, including Behavioral Health and Overdose Prevention and Awareness. Her experience helped her to develop a solid clinical foundation and unique approach to treatment services.

Whether an individual requires support to address and heal from trauma or to cope with current life stressors, Allison's goal as a clinician is to collaborate with you in order to provide support and to assist you in reaching the life goals that matter most. Allison uses a holistic approach to care while focusing on a person’s strengths and meeting people where they are at. She is a warm, compassionate and empathic person who strives to create an inviting and comfortable treatment environment in order to develop a strong and trusting relationship. Allison believes that people are the experts in their own lives and experiences and encourages a collaborative journey through treatment.

Amelie Gooding, LCMHC, MLADC

Philosophy of Care

Amelie Gooding is a dually licensed mental health therapist and drug and alcohol counselor, who has over 30 years of experience in a variety of settings working with adults and adolescents seeking help with depression, anxiety, substance misuse and abuse, as well as life transitions, grief & loss, and relationship issues.  She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Vassar College and received her Master of Arts in Psychotherapy from Antioch University in Yellow Springs, Ohio.

Amelie utilizes collaborative, strength based, cognitive behavioral and solution focused approaches, along with motivational interviewing and a psychodynamic framework.

Heidi Behrendt, LICSW

Philosophy of Care

Heidi Behrendt is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the states of Vermont and New Hampshire with 15 years’ experience in the human services field, with 5 years providing direct therapy services to children ages 6-12, adults ages 18 to 65+, and couples. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from Smith College, Northampton, MA in psychology and child studies and her Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California focusing on mental health and military social work. 

Heidi takes a person-centered, strengths-based approach, beginning the therapeutic journey by assisting you to identify the strengths and coping skills you already have and explore how those are currently working for you. Heidi’s goal as a therapist is to assist you in enhancing your skills, identifying patterns that no longer work, and to help you to achieve your goals. She considers it an honor to assist you in unlocking roadblocks to healing and assisting in uncovering layers of personal growth and potential. 

Heidi uses a variety of therapeutic techniques tailored to meet your specific needs which include Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic approaches, with a strong emphasis on active listening, compassion, and validation.

Sam Taliaferro, LICSW

Sam Taliaferro is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with a passion for supporting those who find themselves struggling with the demands that accompany the human experience. Sam’s previous 13 years of experience has afforded him diverse training in various settings including community-based care in both Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) and private practice, as well as facility-based care in both medical and psychiatric hospital systems. Sam specializes in working with individuals who feel as though they are in a rut or overwhelmed by the burden of external expectations. Sam strives to support individuals with re establishing existing skills while also adding a few tools to the toolbox. 

Sam’s approach is to encourage individuals not to fear limitations, but embrace them with the intention of promoting personal growth. Sam’s open dialog focuses on personal goals and expectations, as well as strategies to measure progress when addressing them. Sam’s approach of listening and learning from individuals allows access to recommended coping skills to address and overcome diverse range of personal challenges

Sarah Crombie, LICSW

Sarah Crombie is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the state of New Hampshire. She completed her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Southern Maine in Portland. She previously had a practice while living in MA and joined Thriveworks in NH in 2021.

Sarah practices from a strengths-based model utilizing an eclectic approach that incorporates cognitive behavioral, mindfulness, psychodynamic, solution focused, and positive psychology. She is flexible and creative in providing the best approach for each individual and couple.
