I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 33 years of experience helping individuals navigate life’s challenges. I specialize in supporting clients facing depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction, as well as those working through life transitions. My approach is rooted in building a trusting and comfortable relationship, where clients feel valued and understood. I hold a Master’s in Counseling from Texas A&M University–Commerce. My training includes eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and person-centered therapy. Yes, there are therapists who help with anger via Anger management therapy. It’s a therapeutic process that an individual goes through to manage their anger and identify its triggers. They’re given clear instructions on how to improve their angry behavior as well as a safe space for opening up about their emotions.
Once an individual’s triggers are identified, anger management therapy focuses on helping the individual process and respond to these emotions in a more positive and productive manner. The anger management therapist will provide coping strategies and ultimately help their client take back control of their anger.
