About
As a therapist who believes healing happens in a collaborative and compassionate space, I bring years of experience walking alongside individuals as they rediscover their inner strength and rewrite their personal stories.
Hi, I'm Veronica Grimes, a licensed professional counselor. I earned my Master's Degree in Counseling from Grand Canyon University and have five years of experience in residential and private practice. My approach is rooted in CBT, DBT, and ACT. I work with adults and young adults who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from the life they want. Many clients face chronic anxiety, burnout, difficult transitions, or past trauma impacts. They are often high-achievers or deeply caring individuals seeking relief from a harsh inner critic, wanting healthier relationships, and looking to reclaim balance, purpose, and self-compassion.
My therapeutic style is collaborative, and gently active. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach; I blend CBT, ACT, and mindfulness to match your rhythm and personality. I specialize in anxiety disorders, professional burnout, and complex life transitions. You can expect a judgment-free environment with steady encouragement and occasional humor.
Choosing to start therapy takes courage, and you don't have to carry your struggles alone. Healing is deeply personal, and I'm here alongside you every single step. Your story matters, and a more balanced, fulfilling life is entirely possible. When you're ready, I invite you to schedule our first session so we can start building your path forward.

As a man of color who has walked through trauma and grief, I offer you a grounded, steady presence where you feel safe, understood, and supported to clear emotional and psychological blocks, release limiting patterns, strengthen resilience, and move with confidence toward your fullest potential.
I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with 15 years of experience providing evidence-based psychotherapy. I work with adults and couples navigating trauma, grief, anxiety, infidelity recovery, and relationship challenges. Many of my clients feel stuck in painful patterns, overwhelmed by past experiences, or disconnected from their confidence and direction. I focus on helping clients build emotional awareness, strengthen coping skills, and create healthier patterns in their lives and relationships. My approach is active, structured, and relational.
I earned my master's degree in professional counseling from Grand Canyon University. I use EMDR and evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy to help clients process experiences, regulate emotions, and move toward change. For couples, I utilize Gottman Method techniques to strengthen communication and rebuild trust.
My goal is to provide a calm, supportive space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered to grow. Together, we will identify emotional roadblocks, develop practical tools, and build skills that support lasting progress. If you are ready to move beyond surviving and begin creating the life and relationships you want, I look forward to working with you.

With Thriveworks, Online therapy is an effective alternative to in-person therapy services in which a client can speak to a Thriveworks therapist remotely via online video conferencing. Online sessions are just as effective as in-person treatment, but they can also provide added benefits like reduced travel time, saving money on transportation or childcare, and increased access to care.
Online therapy works much like traditional in-person therapy but takes place through secure video conferencing. Clients can attend Online therapy from any safe place they choose that has access to the internet, whether that be their home or another easily accessible place. Like in-person treatment, a therapist will work with their client to address their concerns, create goals, and establish an effective treatment plan.
There is no best option for online therapy—instead, it’s best to focus on finding a provider that meets your specific needs and with whom you can form a professional connection with.
Yes, online therapy is just as effetive for many clients as in-person sessions.
Online therapy can last for a few months to years depending on the goals and symptoms of the client. The treatment process will be unique to each client and lend itself to their specific concerns, which means that the time it takes to treat them will always be different. Timing is also up to the client themselves; they are free to stop therapy whenever they please, especially if they feel they have reached their goals and addressed their concerns.
At Thriveworks, we accept most major insurance plans, allowing many clients to pay as little as $0–$50 per session with their co-pay. We also offer self-pay options for those out-of-network or without insurance. Self-pay rates for talk therapy range from $160 to $240 for intake sessions and $135 to $195 for follow-ups, depending on your state. For psychiatry services, self-pay intake sessions are $255–$375, with follow-ups ranging from $175–$300, also varying by state. More information on current self-pay costs is available on our pricing page.
