About
I am very intentional with each patient.
I am a doctoral prepared, dual certified (Family and Psychiatric) Nurse practitioner with 14 years of experience both in the clinical setting and academia. I provide a safe space for my patients due to the sensitivity and vulnerability of each diverse patient. My treatment approach is first and foremost a collaborative patient centered, incorporating a holistic, culturally diverse and sensitive approach.
Your first session will be a psychiatric evaluation which can last between 60- 90 minutes. During this time, we will review your intake and health history, before formulating a treatment plan, including medication if needed, based on the diagnosis. This will be a collaborative process between the patient and provider.
I am very intentional with each patient. I treat everyone with respect and strive to listen attentively to each patient. My treatment plans are individualized. I make sure that each patient knows that this is their journey, and I am here to support and walk through it with them.

Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a Supervisor Endorsement. I have experience in the field since 2018. I like to focus on building rapport with everyone I see & I utilize many different therapeutic techniques to assist clients in achieving goals. I specialize in helping teens & adults suffering from ADHD, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, & more. I obtained my Master's degree in Human Service from Post University & completed my Clinical Counseling degree at John Carroll University. I never want counseling to feel like something clients dread. I want clients to enjoy therapy and look forward to it. I encourage people to be open and honest in the safe space we've created. Whether you have something specific to discuss or you'd like me to guide the conversation, we can have conversations that hopefully allow you to heal, grow, and thrive.

As one who has experienced my own traumas, losses and other "bumps in the road" life throws at us, I can identify with others in distress and try to align with them in finding their personal path to healing and empowerment.
My name is Jeff Miller, and I have been in the mental health field for over 30 years. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master's degree in Social Work. My experience is varied—beginning in Cuyahoga County investigating allegations of abuse and neglect with extensive Juvenile Court involvement, then expanding to children and teens in foster care, residential treatment, and adoption settings. I have also worked with adults managing chronic or acute mental health conditions and dual diagnoses. I am open to working with most concerns, though depression and anxiety—often rooted in trauma and loss—are what I most typically address.
Building a therapeutic relationship and aligning with clients to find their “path” to healing is at the heart of my work. I help normalize certain feelings, and approach each person without judgment. I am honest and respectful of what a client can manage at any point in the process. Trust is developed and earned over time, and I fully understand that.
I look forward to meeting you and will always start from where you are. Our journey together will hopefully bring new understandings and positive life changes.

In my life experience I believe patience is key and I come ready to truly see you and to not rush you because I believe meaningful change happens when we slow down, find solutions together, and build something real from exactly where you are right now.
I am a Licensed Social Worker with a Master of Social Work from Cleveland State University, I have completed extensive training in trauma, substance use, LGBTQ, domestic and intimate partner violence, human trafficking, gang culture, and healthy relationship dynamics, and I remain committed to ongoing professional development throughout my practice.
I draw from a range of evidence-based modalities including Solution-Focused Therapy, PersonCentered approaches, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Focused Therapy, and positive reinforcement, because I recognize that every individual's circumstances are unique, and I am dedicated to meeting clients where they are with patience, empathy, and clinical skill.
I bring a strengths-based, collaborative approach to therapy grounded in active listening and genuine curiosity about clients' unique needs, because I believe that when people feel truly heard and supported, they are empowered to work through challenges and reach the goals that matter most to them.

I look forward to helping you on your healing journey with compassion, empathy, and understanding because we are all humans navigating life together.
Hello, my name is Alicia, and I have experience working in the mental health field for over 10 years. I have experience working with people who have experienced many different types of trauma such as abuse, violence, grief, or many other terrible things that life throws at us. I also have experience helping people who struggle with anxiety, depression, bipolar, ADHD, and other mental health struggles.
I don't believe in a "one size fits all" approach to therapy. I believe that because we are all unique individuals, we require a unique and individual approach to healing. I take pride in my eagerness to learn different ways to help my clients. I have training and experience in EMDR, DBT, CBT, psychotherapy, mindfulness, and general talk therapy.
I believe in meeting people where they are at. Whether that means just meeting to vent or processing deeper emotions. I am ready when you are and I look forward to meeting you and being a part of your healing journey.

Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor of Mental Health (LPCC)
In Cincinnati, your cost depends on whether you use insurance or pay out of pocket. With insurance, most patients pay a copay between $0 and $55 per session. If you’re self-pay, rates vary by state—typically $200 to $240 for your first therapy session and $160 to $195 for follow-ups, or $300 to $375 for an initial psychiatry session and $210 to $300 for follow-ups. Contact our Cincinnati office or visit our pricing page to learn more.
Yes, Thriveworks Cincinnati accepts insurance to help cover services, including individual therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, and psychiatry. Couples and family therapy aren’t always covered the same way, since some plans only cover sessions considered medically necessary.
We’ll verify your insurance and estimate your out-of-pocket cost for you before your first session, but it’s still worth confirming your specific benefits with your insurer, especially if your plan requires pre-authorization (advance approval from your insurer before certain treatments are covered).
Fit matters more than almost anything else in therapy. Research consistently shows the relationship between you and your therapist is one of the strongest predictors of whether treatment actually works, no matter their approach. Start by thinking about what you want help with, then browse provider profiles in Cincinnati and filter by specialty, insurance, and availability to find someone who feels right for you. If your first session doesn’t click, no problem. You can switch providers anytime, no fees, no hassle.
All three support mental health in different ways. A therapist provides talk therapy to help you work through challenges; a psychologist also provides therapy, but their doctoral training lets them do psychological testing and formal evaluations; a psychiatrist is a medical provider who can prescribe medication.
Thriveworks Cincinnati offers therapy and psychiatry together, so you can get the right type of care—or a combination—in one place. For more detail, see our straightforward guide to mental health care professionals.
Most patients at Thriveworks Cincinnati see a provider within six days. We offer flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends. Book online or call our Cincinnati office to find the soonest session with a therapist or psychiatric provider.
Yes. Psychiatric providers at Thriveworks Cincinnati can prescribe and manage medication, and many patients pair that with talk therapy from a separate provider. Our team coordinates the two together.
Your first session is mostly about getting to know each other. Your therapist will ask what brought you in, talk through your history and goals, and start shaping a plan for care. There’s no pressure to share more than you’re comfortable with—the first session is a conversation, not a test. Want more detail? Here’s exactly what to expect, step by step.
Yes. Thriveworks Cincinnati offers both in-person sessions at our local office and online (telehealth) sessions, so you can choose what’s most convenient and switch between the two as your needs change.
