About
As a bilingual therapist with over five years of experience working with teens and young adults, I create a supportive, practical space where we can understand what’s holding you back and build the tools you need to move forward—on and off the field.
I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with a master's degree in clinical counseling and over 5 years of experience in the mental health field, including the past four years providing direct therapy. I have extensive experience working with teens and young adults, supporting them through a range of emotional and behavioral challenges while providing a supportive space for growth and healing. My approach is client-centered, practical, and goal-oriented. I integrate principles from therapy, sports psychology, and coaching to help clients build resilience, improve emotional regulation, and develop meaningful, lasting change.
I am bilingual in English and Spanish, which allows me to effectively support a diverse client population and provide culturally responsive care. Originally from Venezuela, I moved to St. Louis at the age of 16. I have also traveled to over 20 countries, shaping my cultural awareness and ability to connect with clients from a wide range of backgrounds.
At 32, I bring both clinical training and real-world perspective to my work, helping clients move forward with clarity, confidence, and purpose.

I’m Jacob Glose, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Missouri and Arkansas with over 10 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. I provide individual and couples therapy and specializes in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, and relational challenges. I am trained in EMDR and offer trauma-informed care for clients looking to process difficult past experiences and move forward with more clarity and stability. My approach to therapy is collaborative and honest. I believe a strong therapeutic relationship is essential.
I build that through consistency, trust, & clear communication. Early sessions focus on understanding what brings you to therapy, identifying your goals, and creating a plan that fits your needs. From there, the work involves exploring patterns, thoughts, and emotions that may be contributing to distress or keeping you stuck.
Beginning therapy can feel uncertain, but I work to create a supportive and steady space. My approach helps clients make sense of their experiences and build the insight and tools needed to face life’s challenges with more compassion, confidence, and direction.
You deserve dedicated time with a mental health professional — it can be life-changing.

Yes, there are therapists who help with anger via Anger management therapy. It’s a therapeutic process that an individual goes through to manage their anger and identify its triggers. They’re given clear instructions on how to improve their angry behavior as well as a safe space for opening up about their emotions.
Once an individual’s triggers are identified, anger management therapy focuses on helping the individual process and respond to these emotions in a more positive and productive manner. The anger management therapist will provide coping strategies and ultimately help their client take back control of their anger.
The five keys to mastering anger include identifying triggers, pausing before reacting, calmly expressing emotions, discovering constructive outlets for frustration, and seeking professional assistance if necessary. Acquiring these skills through Anger management therapy empowers individuals to effectively manage and navigate their anger.
The best therapy for anger management often involves cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), which helps individuals identify and change patterns of thinking and behavior related to anger.
Anger management therapy at Thriveworks is conducted both in person and online by video. We encourage you to choose the option that works best for you.
Often, Anger management therapy lasts between 4-6 weeks. However, it can last longer, dependent on the individual’s needs.
