Genevieve Thomas is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) with 7 years of experience in individual, group, family, and couples counseling. Genevieve has worked at a psychiatric-residential treatment facility, as well as out-patient and school-based mental health settings. She works with children, teens, and adults facing mental health issues ranging from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), mood disorders, relationship issues, identity/sexuality issues, and life transitions.
Genevieve completed both her Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Human Services & Counseling and her Master of Education (MEd) in Counseling & Human Development at Lindsey Wilson College. Her therapeutic approach is person-centered; focusing on the client's overall mental health and well-being. Genevieve implements a variety of therapeutic techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based (MBCT), and solution-focused therapy.
