Ilya Shtykan is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. He currently provides counseling services for sufferers of co-occurring substance abuse and mental health disorders. He focuses on anxiety, depression, PTSD, unresolved grief/loss, and other mental health issues. Ilya's goal in this field is to help make positive changes in the lives of clients while offering support.
Ilya completed his Master's in Marriage and Family Counseling at National University: Woodland Hills Campus. Ilya transitioned to the helping profession of therapy after being in the creative graphic field and enduring certain personal, family, and emotional struggles which led him to empathize with others going through similar issues. Ilya utilizes multiple treatment modalities including psychodynamic therapy, CBT, solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and more.
