Carina Demanigold is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 5 years of experience supporting individuals and couples through life’s most difficult transitions. She draws from both physical and mental healthcare backgrounds, including hospice care. Carina is passionate about providing emotional support to those facing grief, trauma, and other forms of suffering. She works with mild to moderate mental health symptoms and fosters healing through a compassionate, client-centered approach.
Carina holds a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Southern California. Her integrative approach combines mindfulness, self-compassion, and emotional balance using cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and the Gottman method. She meets clients where they are and promotes authentic healing.
Carina offers evidence-based psychotherapy tailored to the needs of each client, helping them manage anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions. Her calm, non-judgmental presence empowers individuals and couples to navigate emotional waves with clarity and resilience. Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
As humans, we all experience times when we need additional emotional support. As a therapist, I can be part of an emotional healing process for individuals seeking treatment.I offer a safe space for emotional support, guidance, compassion which fosters growth and empowerment.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I have an integrative approach and I will meet the clients where the clients need to be met, it all depends on the needs of the individual or couple.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I am honored and excited to meet with clients of all backgrounds, as I also gain a deeper understanding of the human experience and emotions through working with diverse clients.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
We have all reasons to feel what we feel, and we do the best we can adapting to the many things we can't control in life. I will meet you with a deep genuine compassionate presence, and provide a safe place for you to explore your inner landscape.

What inspires you?
Being a therapist provides me with a strong sense of purpose and meaning. Therapy can be a transformative journey that foster self-awareness, compassion and a deeper understanding of the human experience. Witnessing the positive changes that clients make in therapy is incredibly rewarding for therapists. Seeing clients gain insights, develop coping mechanisms, and lead more fulfilling lives is a very powerful source of inspiration.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
I meet clients with a warm positive and compassionate presence, where they can share their inner and outer experiences and challenges .People have reasons to feel what they feel, and people do the best they can adapt to the many things they can't control in life. I provide a safe place for people to explore their inner landscape and help people find emotional balance.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
Setting achievable goals is an important component of self-efficacy and empowerment, it helps clients develop a clear sense of purpose, increases motivation, and instills hope for change.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first session?
I will meet you where you are, provide you with a warm environment that promotes emotional healing and validation. I provide compassionate evidence-based psychotherapy to individuals and couples with mild to moderate symptoms resulting from anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, survivors of suicide loss, end of life, and challenging life transitions. Life consists of ongoing waves of transitions.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
I enjoy creativity of all forms; dancing and singing and connecting with nature through hiking and photography. I am an animal lover, I own horses and believe in living a conscientious life,
What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?
I believe in living a purpose-driven life, being true to myself, and commit to actions that are aligned with my values such as compassion, kindness, health, honesty, equality and peace.
