As a Chamorro Islander from Guam, a tiny island in the Pacific Ocean, I understand how transitioning into a big city can be overwhelming and filled with so many uncertainties. I'm here to help you navigate through the changes, gain hopeful insight, and create meaningful life goals toward a more balanced and optimistic life.
Christine Camacho is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (licensed in Guam and Nevada) with 10 years of experience in mental health. She is passionate about working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, and military veterans. Christine specializes in ADHD, depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, relationships, life transitions, military issues, PTSD, crisis situations, cultural sensitivity, LGBTQ+ issues, and psychiatric illness. She also performs assessments and develops individualized treatment plans for clients. Christine earned her Master of Science in Clinical Psychology at the University of Guam.
Being raised in the Chamorro culture, Christine has deep cultural and religious roots and understands the pressures of being a woman, a single mother, and a minority in today’s society. She uses a psychodynamic and strength-based approach as well as cognitive behavioral therapy, exposure therapy, solution-focused therapy, social skills training, and more.
