About Jason

Hello, I'm Jason Weed, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, ADHD, relationship challenges, grief, life transitions, low self-esteem, and stress. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply looking to better understand yourself, my goal is to help you develop practical skills, build resilience, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful, lasting change.

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to your needs. I integrate CBT, DBT, EMDR, Imago Relationship Therapy, mindfulness, and solution-focused techniques to help you process difficult experiences, strengthen emotional regulation, improve communication, and build practical skills that foster healing, confidence, and personal growth.

Taking the first step toward change can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to face it alone. Wherever you are in your journey, I am committed to meeting you with compassion, respect, and support. Together, we can work toward a healthier, more fulfilling future when you're ready to take that next step.

Get to know Jason

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

I became a counselor because I have always been passionate about understanding people and helping them navigate life's most difficult moments. Throughout my own life, I have witnessed the profound impact that compassion, support, and meaningful human connection can have on healing. Those experiences inspired me to dedicate my career to helping others feel heard, understood, and empowered. I believe everyone deserves a safe, nonjudgmental space where they can explore their challenges, discover their strengths, and develop the skills needed to create lasting change. It is a privilege to walk alongside my clients as they build resilience, strengthen relationships, and become the healthiest version of themselves.

What types of clients do you work best with?

I work best with adolescents, adults, couples, and families who are ready to better understand themselves and create meaningful change. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, relationship challenges, low self-esteem, or major life transitions. Whether you're struggling to heal from the past, improve communication, manage difficult emotions, or build healthier relationships, I provide a supportive, collaborative environment where you can feel safe, understood, and empowered. Together, we'll identify your strengths, develop practical coping skills, and work toward lasting emotional wellness and personal growth at a pace that feels right for you.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

I wish every client knew that healing is not about becoming a different person. It's about reconnecting with the person you were always meant to be. Progress isn't always linear, and setbacks don't mean you're failing; they're often part of the growth process. Therapy isn't about having someone "fix" you because you aren't broken. It's a collaborative journey where we build insight, resilience, and practical skills together so you can face life's challenges with greater confidence, selfcompassion, and hope.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another in a comfortable, judgment-free environment. We'll discuss what brings you to therapy, explore your personal history, identify your strengths, and clarify what you hope to achieve. Together, we'll begin creating goals that reflect what's most important to you. In the early stages of therapy, you can expect us to build trust, develop practical coping skills, increase self-awareness, and create a treatment plan tailored to your unique needs. My goal is for you to leave each session feeling heard, supported, and equipped with tools that help you make meaningful progress between sessions.

What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?

My practice is grounded in the belief that every person deserves to feel seen, heard, and valued. I understand that life can present unexpected challenges, and I've seen firsthand how resilience, compassion, and meaningful human connection can foster healing and growth. These experiences have shaped my commitment to providing a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable being their authentic selves. I value authenticity, empathy, collaboration, and evidence-based care, and I believe lasting change happens when people feel empowered to better understand themselves, strengthen their relationships, and build a life that aligns with their values.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

I recognize that no two people have the same story, so I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. I tailor each session to your unique experiences, strengths, goals, and preferences by integrating evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, Imago Relationship Therapy, mindfulness, and solutionfocused techniques. As therapy progresses, we continually evaluate what's working and adjust our approach to ensure it remains meaningful, collaborative, and aligned with your personal growth and healing.
