Carla Starr is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-PIP) with over 18 years of experience in the field of social work. Carla is passionate about helping adults with identifying their unique strengths and gifts so they can live their most fulfilling lives. She specializes in treating depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use, mood disorders, major life transitions, post-partum depression, and relationship issues.
Carla earned her Master's degree in Social Work degree from the University at Buffalo. She has worked with a variety of populations, in various settings, which has given her unique perspective and insight into helping others. Carla's vast professional experience has also enabled her to give the support and guidance clients are seeking to better their lives. She utilizes an eclectic approach to therapy that is individualized to the needs of her clients that includes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, mind-body medicine, solutions-focused therapy (SFT), and motivational interviewing (MI).
