About
I believe everyone deserves a space where they feel heard, supported, and empowered to understand themselves more deeply and create meaningful change.
I’m a licensed counselor in New York and Massachusetts with a clinical background working with individuals experiencing substance use challenges, anxiety, depression, trauma, and complex family dynamics. I earned my degree from the University at Albany, and I’ve worked extensively with children and families in the foster care system, as well as survivors of sexual abuse and assault. I especially enjoy working with young adults navigating anxiety, depression, and self-esteem concerns, as well as mothers adjusting to motherhood and finding their voice within the family system.
I offer a nonjudgmental, down-to-earth therapeutic space where clients can explore their experiences and better understand how past events shape current thoughts, behaviors, and emotions. My approach is collaborative and supportive, helping motivated clients build self-worth, clarify goals, and create meaningful, sustainable change.
Life doesn’t always unfold the way we expect, and navigating unexpected challenges can feel overwhelming. You don’t have to do it alone. I aim to help clients feel supported, understood, and empowered as they work toward a life that feels more balanced and fulfilling. I hope this feels like a space where you could begin that work.

Loneliness counseling can take different amounts of time. It depends on how lonely a person is and how they’re doing in counseling. Normally, it involves many sessions that last from a few weeks to a few months. The exact number of sessions and how long it takes are determined with the loneliness counselor’s input.
Feeling lonely is one of the worst feelings in the world. It can be especially painful when it becomes a cycle that feels like it simply can’t be broken. When it feels like there’s no way to meet new people, improve current relationships, or ever stop feeling lonely, it can be near impossible to do anything about it. The truth is that you really do have the power to change your life. And a counselor can help you do it. Reach out to Thriveworks Buffalo today for loneliness counseling from a compassionate professional.
If you want to feel less lonely, a qualified mental health professional can show you ways to cope with your lonely feelings and even reach out for social support. At Thriveworks in Buffalo, NY, loneliness counselors might give you insights into how to do the following:
One of the most common reasons people fail when they try to do something about their loneliness is because they have unrealistic expectations. They may force themselves to sign up for a local group, show up for the meeting, and then be so disappointed when they don’t instantly make friends that they never return.
Remember that at its most basic level, loneliness is simply a mismatch between the relationships you have in your life and the relationships you want in your life. A qualified counselor at Thriveworks in Buffalo, NY can help you understand what realistic expectations are and ways to check yourself to ensure you’re sticking to these expectations.
People who are lonely can become extremely self-focused. They can have a difficult time thinking beyond their own lives–and this can make the problem worse. Your counselor can help you understand that many things simply aren’t about you, even when it feels like they are. For example, if you invite a friend over for dinner and they say they have plans, it can feel like a rejection but in most cases it’s not. They simply had other plans.
You can get the personalized treatment plan that you need to overcome your loneliness and depression by reaching out to Thriveworks in Buffalo, NY for loneliness counseling. The best way to get a plan that’s specific to your needs and current situation is to work directly with a counselor. At Thriveworks in Buffalo, NY, a therapist will take the time to get to know you and your needs. Thriveworks will help you get to the bottom of the core issues leading to your loneliness. Together, you and your counselor will find the right treatment plan that could truly change your life.
