About
I see therapy as a collaborative journey, and I strive to meet each client with compassion, curiosity, and genuine respect for their unique story and experiences.
I've worked in social services since 2013 and as a therapist since 2019. I work with individuals who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure what comes next and are ready for support. My goal is to create a comfortable, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard and work toward the changes you desire. I believe therapy should be personalized—everyone's experiences and needs differ. Together, we build coping skills, improve communication, strengthen relationships, navigate transitions, and help you feel confident. Whether seeking practical tools, self-understanding, or a safe space to process, I'm here to meet you and support your movement.
My approach is trauma-informed and evidence-based. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). These help you understand thought-behavior connections, process experiences, develop coping skills, and move toward meaningful life aligned to values.
Starting therapy can feel challenging. You don't need everything figured out beforehand. Wherever you are, I meet you with compassion and without judgment. If you're ready to understand yourself better and create meaningful change, I invite you to schedule an appointment. You deserve support as you move toward greater confidence and fulfillment in your life.

My go-to approach for helping people in PTSD/trauma therapy is using DBT and CBT to teach the client coping skills for the symptoms they are struggling with. I find that this is the most effective approach because PTSD/trauma scrambles our brains, and many struggle with their relationships, anxiety, depression, hypervigilance, and emotion regulation to name a few.
I teach the following tools in PTSD/trauma therapy: mindfulness, radical acceptance, emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, and distress tolerance.
I know a client is making meaningful progress in PTSD/trauma therapy when they are using skills effectively outside of sessions and reaching goals we have set in therapy.
Clients can supplement their time in PTSD/ trauma therapy by practicing skills outside of sessions as well as utilizing self-care.
To prepare for their first PTSD/trauma therapy session, someone can write down what they want to talk about.
At Thriveworks, Trauma/PTSD therapy involves dedicated efforts to address and navigate through past and/or recent traumatic events. The symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) can vary but often include:
The best way to overcome PTSD triggers is to seek the assistance of a professional therapist, such as those at Thriveworks, who can help you to understand and treat your PTSD triggers.
In most cases, a therapist who specializes in Trauma/PTSD therapy is the best type of mental health professional to address the symptoms of PTSD.
PTSD/trauma therapy at Thriveworks is conducted both in person and online by video. We encourage you to choose the option that works best for you.
If a client is working through a single traumatic event that occurred as an adult, trauma or PTSD therapy may only take a few months, but in general, it can take a year or more to effectively treat trauma symptoms and PTSD. The duration of treatment is highly dependent on the client and the severity of their symptoms.
The success rate of therapy for PTSD depends entirely on the individual’s symptoms, commitment to attending sessions, and personal abilities.
