Jennifer Morton is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Alaska who works only via telehealth therapy. She has worked with residents of rural Alaska for more than 12 years in more than two dozen communities in Northwestern Alaska. Jennifer has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families who seek assistance with mental health, behavioral, and substance use issues. She has advanced training in complex trauma, ADHD, addictions, mood, anxiety, and psychotic disorders. Jennifer takes a holistic approach to treatment, addressing physical, financial, occupational, relational, and social functioning affected by the client's issues so they can achieve balance in their lives.
Jennifer is finishing her dissertation to earn her doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology. Although trained in Adlerian theory, Jennifer pulls from a wide variety of clinical orientations and methods to address the client's unique needs and preferences. She is a dynamic and engaging therapist who works with clients to help them achieve their goals. Jennifer has specialized training in art, play, and sand tray therapy to appeal to those who may have difficulties expressing themselves verbally. Her studies on trauma help clients identify their triggers, mistaken beliefs that are holding them back, and how to look forward to the future with the skills necessary.
