Jennifer Morton is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Alaska who works only via telehealth therapy. She has worked with residents of rural Alaska for more than 12 years in more than two dozen communities in Northwestern Alaska. Jennifer has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families who seek assistance with mental health, behavioral, and substance use issues. She has advanced training in complex trauma, ADHD, addictions, mood, anxiety, and psychotic disorders. Jennifer takes a holistic approach to treatment, addressing physical, financial, occupational, relational, and social functioning affected by the client's issues so they can achieve balance in their lives.

Jennifer is finishing her dissertation to earn her doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology. Although trained in Adlerian theory, Jennifer pulls from a wide variety of clinical orientations and methods to address the client's unique needs and preferences. Cecilie Cody is a Licensed Professional Counselor with 20 years of experience in mental health. She prefers to help her clients with their primary concerns while learning about past experiences that add to current struggles. She feels very fortunate to have worked with experienced art therapists at the Cook County Jail, learning how to navigate therapeutic relationships with severe power differentials. Cecilie has experience with children, families, and adults, developing group therapy techniques, and implementing art therapy to help people process trauma and stress caused by severe mental illness.

Cecilie earned her master’s in art therapy at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She uses evidence-based practices in cognitive behavioral therapy so the client can gain perspective and reduce their symptoms. She emphasizes the client's strengths and resiliency during sessions and brings a positive attitude to sessions.

The first few sessions are designed to increase personal comfort and familiarity with Cecilie as the client begins to open up. She likes to start the session with a discussion about the main problem, what has worked, what hasn’t, and what strength and resiliency factors can be identified in the face of these obstacles.

David Banks is a Licensed Professional Counselor with 8 years of experience professionally and 40 years as a minister. Having worked with youth and adults primarily, David started his career at Birchwood Behavioral Health, a residential treatment center for traumatized children and youth. Some would say David never meets a stranger. In 2020, David stepped out on his own as an independent counselor and did business as Restoration Counseling, with the goal of helping individuals restore the image of God in which they were created.

In 2014, David received his Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He particularly enjoys working with couples, assisting them as they learn how to better communicate, how to effectively parent their children, and how to avoid many of the pitfalls couples find themselves in.

David is fond of saying, “There is an expert in this room and it is not me,” meaning most people have answers to the questions they are asking in therapy, and they have to work at discovering this for themselves.
