About
As a survivor of domestic violence, I bring a deep personal understanding of how trauma shapes a person’s life, which fuels my passion for empowering others with compassion, hope, and guidance as they reclaim their voice, rebuild confidence, and move forward with resilience.
I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with 2 years of experience providing mental health services to adults and children in telehealth and agency settings. I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, and major life transitions. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel seen, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change in their lives.
I earned my master’s degree in counseling from Troy University. My approach integrates evidence-based practices, including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, solution-focused therapy, person-centered therapy, and trauma-informed care to support emotional regulation, insight, and healthy coping skills.
Reaching out for support can feel overwhelming, but you do not have to face life’s challenges alone. I am committed to meeting you where you are and helping you build clarity, stability, and resilience at your own pace. When you are ready, I invite you to schedule an appointment and take the next step in your healing journey.

OCD counseling is a specialized therapeutic approach aimed at supporting individuals coping with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). The goal of this counseling is to help clients manage and alleviate the distressing symptoms of OCD by systematically addressing their obsessive thought patterns and compulsive behaviors.
In OCD counseling, Thriveworks Montgomery therapists use cognitive behavioral techniques, including exposure and response prevention, to assist you in addressing and managing your obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors. An OCD therapist will collaborate with you to identify and modify irrational thought patterns while gradually and gently exposing you to anxiety-triggering situations, helping to disrupt the cycle of obsessive-compulsive rituals and promote healthier coping strategies.
Thriveworks OCD counseling in Montgomery, AL is conducted both in person and online by video. We encourage you to choose the option that works best for you.
The number of sessions for OCD counseling is variable, contingent upon the individual’s unique needs, the severity of their condition, and their progress during treatment. Typically, Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), commonly used for OCD, comprises around 12 to 16 weekly sessions, but the exact session count can be customized based on the individual’s response to treatment and therapeutic objectives. Some opt for a more extended duration to comprehensively manage symptoms and address complex issues.
