
Wistar is a copywriter at Thriveworks. She previously wrote for medical communication companies based in NYC and San Francisco. As part of her MFA program at Columbia University, she studied Narrative Medicine and taught fiction writing courses to medical students. In a former life, Wistar was a novelist, ghostwriter, and short story writer.
Wistar was born in Charlottesville, VA. She spent her formative years in Cooperstown, NY; Easton, MD; Birmingham, England; and Earlysville, VA. Wistar met her partner Matt in Brooklyn, NY, where their daughter was born in 2016. They now live along the Rappahannock River in Fredericksburg, VA.
Wistar is interested in social justice issues, literature, and mental health. She can usually be found reading PubMed on the front porch or looking for fairies with her daughter.
