I feel like a complete outcast at school. I see these groups of people in the hallways laughing and joking around, but I only have a couple of kind-of friends. In my classes, I never feel like I say the right things when a teacher calls on me, so I try to sit in the back. I haven’t been on a date, and I’m a sophomore in high school. I don’t know if any guys even notice me. When I talk to people at school, I feel so awkward and don’t know what to say. I’m sure everybody thinks I’m boring—that is if they even think of me at all. How can I just be normal?
You are normal. You can google MBTI. That theory says there are extroverts and introverts. The majority are extroverts.
Those people who love to always laugh and joke are extrovert.
You are introvert. So, you love thinking more than talking.
And, usually introverts are quiet but intelligent. Introvert just don’t like to talk.
For example, Bill Gates is an introvert.
You are normal no matter you are an extrovert or an introvert. There are pros and cons for both personality.
It is awkward only if you force yourself to be someone else, or force yourself to do something that does not make sense to yourself.
So, just be yourself. Go read a book, browser the internet, learn new stuffs. Enjoy your time doing what you love to do.
What is normal? Be unapologetically you! We’re all unique in our own way and should strive to embody that every single day. If you’re feeling lonely or want to make some more friends, then try to be a little more outgoing. Join a club that you’re interested in and meet some people that share the same interests as you! This will help you make friends and maybe even a date/boyfriend. It’s normal to feel uncomfortable or awkward in social situations, especially if you’re more introverted. Just remember to be you, put some effort into achieving your goals, and the pieces will fall into place.
