Zhiran (Jack) Li is a Resident Licensed Mental Health Counselor with 2 years of experience. He specializes in assisting individuals dealing with stress, depression, anger issues, relationship issues, and parenting challenges. As an international student and immigrant, Zhiran has faced challenges that have helped him to develop empathy and understanding of a client’s unique struggles.
Zhiran received his Master’s in School Counseling from the University of Scranton. He utilizes a variety of clinical approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy and solution-focused therapy.

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I decided to become a counselor because they felt a deep calling to support others through their challenges. like my wife who is a person constantly feeling anxious and stress. I want to help her to travel through those barriers.
What types of clients do you work with best?
patient who is engage in the session and willing to change.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I excited to work with young adult who have relationship issue.

because I believe that thriveworks is the platform that I can truly display my full potential.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
the first session with me is easy, starting up with me asking some questions. I will also answer my Clients any question they ask.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
personal background, mental health history, family dynamic, social network, risk assessment.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first session?
I am a person with empathy and high tolerance.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
I used to own a motorcycle. I will take it out for a ride. I also play basketball every week. I love hanging out with friends and shopping with my wife. I recently just catch a new hobby, fishing.
What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?
I believe that I am a person filled with positivity.
