Frogel brings more than two decades of healthcare leadership experience to the organization, with a focus in healthcare operations, emergency medicine, and urgent care. Prior to joining Thriveworks, he was co-founder and president of CityMD, one of the largest urgent care providers in the northeast. “The behavioral health vertical plays a key role in patients’ whole health and in the healthcare continuum. I’m excited to be joining a team that is passionate, mission-driven, and committed to making a positive impact,” said Frogel. “As CEO, I will leverage my experience to improve upon an already solid foundation. We’re going to make access to quality mental health care easier, while building a clinical product that is valuable to patients, partners and payors. Our success is predicated on a great patient experience and the highest standards of clinical quality.”

Frogel’s appointment comes after an extensive national search led by Thriveworks’ leadership and board of directors.

“We took our time with this search to find a leader that could not only do the job but who aligned with Thriveworks’ strategic vision, culture, and values,” said Matorin. “Dan’s professional experience, clinically and in scaling large healthcare organizations, is just what we were looking for at this stage in our growth.
