Shannon Kersey, LPA
Shannon has worked as a mental health therapist in the Charlotte, North Carolina area since 2003. She earned her master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Georgia State University. She provides individual and family therapy for children, adolescents, and adults. Much of her work and training focuses on trauma treatment, anxiety, and depression. Over 20,000 sessions later, she has helped thousands of people realize, “It’s not just me.”
Shannon has worked in a variety of settings including Inner Harbor Hospital, housing one of Georgia’s largest psychiatric programs for children and youth. She has administered over 1,200 psychological evaluations for the courts and state, as well as for individuals. She has spoken at local counseling centers, schools, child protective services, as well as the school board.
She lives in Huntersville, North Carolina with her husband and young daughter. As a family, they love to read by the fireplace and have dance parties in the kitchen!
