About Provider

About Kerline

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 11 years of experience providing compassionate care across diverse behavioral health settings. My background includes hospice and grief counseling, supporting adults and families through life’s most vulnerable transitions. I bring a culturally sensitive, intersectional approach to therapy, especially for those navigating identity, loss, or major life changes. My goal is to help clients gain clarity, emotional relief, and confidence as they work toward healing and transformation.

I earned my Master’s in Clinical Social Work from the University of Central Florida, where I also completed minors in Gerontology and Sociology. I integrate cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness-based therapy to create individualized, evidence-based care.

I meet clients where they are with compassion, curiosity, and collaboration. Whether coping with anxiety, depression, chronic illness, or self-esteem challenges, my approach is restorative and empowering. Therapy doesn’t have to feel intimidating; it can be transformative, helping you reconnect with your purpose and inner resilience.

Get to know Kerline

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

I’m passionate about helping people heal, grow, and navigate life’s challenges. Supporting others through difficult transitions and empowering them to rediscover their strength is deeply meaningful to me.

What types of clients do you work best with?

I specialize in helping clients who are struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, chronic stress, caregiver fatigue, and life transitions.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

It only takes the initial step to feel a positive shift has taken place. Therapy doesn’t have to be intimidating—it can be empowering, restorative, and even transformative.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

Many clients begin therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from their purpose. They’re seeking clarity, emotional relief, and practical strategies to rebuild confidence and resilience. I meet each person with compassion and curiosity, supporting them through challenges like mood disorders, chronic illness, and self-esteem concerns.

What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?

I live by the creed: Do unto others as you would like done unto you!

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

Utilizing evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT, Trauma-Focused CBT, and Mindfulness-Based Therapy, I tailor each session to support growth and healing. My style is collaborative, strength-based, and deeply attuned to the whole person—mind, body, and spirit.
