About Jeannine
Therapy is a collaborative space where we can begin to unpack big feelings, navigate difficult emotions, and work through life's challenging experiences. If you're feeling stuck, numb, overwhelmed, or weighed down by pain, you're not alone. I am a licensed clinical social worker with a master's degree from the University of Michigan and over 12 years of experience. I take a holistic approach to supporting individuals through life transitions, grief, depression, anxiety, trauma, and emotional distress. I believe deeply that your voice matters—and that you matter.
In our first session, my focus is on getting to know you and creating space for you to share your story. I'm intentional about fostering warmth, support, accountability, and partnership. My approach is integrative and evidence-based, incorporating CBT, DBT, solution-focused techniques, and somatic interventions.
Our work together will be collaborative and tailored to your evolving needs—because growth is not linear, and it's okay for plans to change as you do. Your story matters. I'm here to listen, support, and gently challenge you along the way.

"I was inspired by my own challenges navigating high functioning depression. I was still performing, still excelling in my career, but lost my sense of joy and identity. Nothing seemed to interest me. I know how difficult it is to carry painful experiences, and to navigate my own healing. Your story matters, but it doesn’t define you. We are layered, diverse, complex individuals. You deserve the opportunity to process, learn, and gradually heal your mind and body. Healing is not linear, and is oftentimes buried in the pain."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I was drawn to clinical practice through my own experiences navigating high functioning depression and trauma. I am also fascinated by the mind-body connection. On the surface, I was still performing, still people pleasing, and excelling. I checked all the boxes. Internally, I felt disconnected from myself. I had lost my sense of joy, and interest in the things that should matter. I understand what it feels like to keep moving forward while quietly struggling underneath it all. Clients deserve a space where they can process experiences, better understand themselves, develop tangible and intangible tools to manage life’s challenges, to gradually reconnect to their mind and body. Often times growth is buried within the pain itself. As Rumi wrote, “The wound is the place where the light enters you.”
What types of clients do you work best with?
I tend to work best with clients aged 16+, BIPOC, and clients struggling with life transitions, annxiety, and depressive symptoms.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
That it does not occur in a vacuum, healing is not linear, and growth takes time and practice. Therapy is a space where the therapist is the oracle of your life. Rather, we guide, challenge, and help clients process and navigate difficult experiences.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In our first session, my focus is on getting to know you, and creating space for you to share your story. I strive to build a therapeutic relationship rooted in trust, support, accountability, and partnership.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My values are rooted in diversity, healing is a process, and understanding we are individuals first.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I use an integrative approach that considers the whole person and is holistic in nature. Evidenced based interventions are coupled with real world skill building. You environment, relationships, primary ecosystems, culture, and lived experiences are part of your journey. My work incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), trauma informed care, solution focused techniques, and somatic therapy interventions. Together, we’ll work to better understand patterns, manage overwhelming emotions, and develop practical tools to support meaningful change.
