She is a solution-focused therapist who helps people function in the system in which they live to create the most fulfilling version of life they can imagine.
Brooke has a Master's in Social Work from Arizona State University. She takes an eclectic approach to treatment and often uses cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and Gestalt practices.
Brooke believes that our brains can provide answers, but sometimes we need help finding the right question to ask. She enjoys helping others see things from a different perspective and wants to put the life you envision for yourself within reach. Contact her today!

"As a clinician, I like to take a client-centered approach to therapy wherein we work together to create the most effective treatment for you."
Get to know Brooke
Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I have always been the person people lean on when things get tough. I have been able to find that when I am able to help people through tough times, that I feel better. Life can be hard and if I can do something that makes life feel a little less hard, I want to do what I can do.
What types of clients do you work with best?
Children and adolescents. People who want to change their life, but don't know where to start.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
Adolescents.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
Mental health is a journey. Some days are better than others and that is okay and expected. You are more than the sum of all your bad days.
Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?
The benefits were very competitive for the market. They offered flexibility for online and in person.
What inspires you?
I want to help put as much good into the world as I can. Any kindness could change someone's life and I strive to be a regular kindness.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
Identify treatment goals and building some level of rapport
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first session?
I will not care more about your treatment than you care about your treatment. That said, I will care as much about your treatment that you care about your treatment.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
I am a hobbyist model. I also have "grandma hobbies", like crocheting, baking, reading, and gardening.
What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?
"put good into the world, however you can"
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
I like the client to "lead" the first session. I like to ask questions, but a lot of that is just getting to know the client. The first session we will identify treatment goals, but I likely won't start providing clinical insights. I will also go over my "rules of care" as follows.
1. My expectation is that you have something to discuss in sessions
2. You are always allowed to say you don't feel comfortable discussing something. We might discuss why you don't want to talk about it, but I won't push you into something if you aren't comfortable.
3. I am a mandated reporter. Our sessions are private and the only time any information will be shared is if I am concerned about your safety or the safety of others. ( I be sure to have a slightly different conversation with children under the age of 13 regarding their adults involvement in their care)
