About Ann
I am a licensed independent clinical social worker (LICSW) with 34 years of experience. I have spent my career serving vulnerable individuals, providing therapy for adults navigating depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, and bipolar disorder. My background includes extensive work within community mental health systems, emergency departments, and community healthcare centers. I am passionate about supporting individuals experiencing serious mental health and crisis concerns.
I hold a master’s in social work from Michigan State University. My approach to care is holistic and strength-based, integrating cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused therapy. I tailor treatment to meet each person’s goals, empowering them to build resilience and achieve lasting wellness.
I find my work deeply fulfilling and am honored to witness the dedication clients put into their healing. I value collaboration, compassion, and authenticity in the therapeutic relationship and enjoy walking beside individuals as they rediscover balance, purpose, and hope on their journey to recovery.

"As an ally of the LGBTQ community and a proud member of a multiracial family with African American, Korean, and Mexican heritage, I value diversity, inclusivity, and cultural understanding in both my personal and professional interactions."
Get to know Ann
Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
My purpose in life has always been to help others. I am tremendously curious about people's life stories and their resilience.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with adults who are motivated for change. Therapy is helpful, but the work done outside of therapy is where lives begin to change.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
It can get better and we are here to help.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
Getting to know me a bit and sharing their story and vision for improvement.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
I have had many difficult times myself, and have used the skills I teach to others to foster my own resilience.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I communicate with clients about what does or does not work well for them. I encourage transparency if something is not working well in our relationship.
