Get to know Christina
Why did you decide to become a counselor?
Like many therapists, I want to help people. When choosing to become a Marriage and Family Therapist, the idea that we are all influenced by our family system (past and present) throughout our lives really resonated with me.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I love working with pre-teens-early 20s and families!
What’s one thing you wish all clients knew?
The most important part of therapy is the therapeutic relationship. If you don't click with a certain therapist, it's okay to try with a new therapist!
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
While for part of the time I will ask a bunch of questions that strangers usually don't ask the first time you meet them, I also like to hear about interests, strengths and successes. I also welcome any questions clients may have for me.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
I enjoy listening to podcasts, going on car rides with my dog, playing tennis and travelling!
