Why did you decide to become a counselor?
I wouldn't say I necessarily decided to become a counselor. I didn't wake up one day after finding out about this profession and decide to go for it. More so, I've naturally leaned into who I am as a person, and helping other learn to help themselves is something I naturally do. Challenging others to think of other perspectives and asking those uncomfortable questions is apart pf who I am down to my DNA. My mother called me the most inquisitive young person she has ever met and people tend to intrigue me most. My friends have always commented on me holding them accountable and being the trusted person they knew they could call on to brainstorm their problems. These qualities align with counseling in many ways. Thus, I've leaned into who I am, and found that counseling, naturally, is fulfilling to me.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I work best with clients who are open and willing to try. For a long time, I found it hard to believe that people could change. I realized it was because I was projecting my own desires to have everything my way with ill regards for how that effected others. I work best with clients who are open to introspectively assessing who they are and how that may or may not hinder the progress they want to make.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I am most excited to work with clients who are in a phase of transition. Be that work, relationships, personal change, all of it. I am eager to work with those that are open and ready to begin the work to make the changes they seek.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
I wish all clients knew that they are the experts on themselves. I think in therapy, it's typical for clients to consult a therapist to get other expertise, that they may agree or disagree with but never speak on. Understand that with me, I want to hear you, I am here to partner with you, and I believe that you, know you best. So if ever, you disagree with my analyzing you speak up, and let me know. Also, I understand the desire for clients to want to get to know their therapist better, thus, feel free to ask me any question you want, however, understand that I may not answer every question and may inquire where the curiosity is stemming from.

People inspire me. The beauty of overcoming the hardships inspires me. Love inspires me.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
During a first session, clients can expect that I am there to learn what they are looking for guidance with. I am eager to hear their story and build a connection with them to see if I am a good fit to assist them in making the changes they seek and accomplishing the goals they've set for themselves. This is both their and my time to assess if we will be a good fit in their therapeutic journey.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
During our first session, let's work together to understand where you are and what goals you're looking to accomplish while working with me.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first counseling session?
Before scheduling your first session with me, you should know my expectations of you are non existent. I am open to whomever and whatever you're bringing to our session, I am not here to judge you, only to help guide you.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
I am an avid reader, writer, traveler and a lover of many genres of music. Find me anywhere in the world, and I can guarantee amongst my wallet is my phone with Apple Music playing, while I may be writing in my notes app or reading on my kindle paper white.
What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?
Never judge a book by its cover. I am more than I seem.
