About Sherene
Sherene Becca Robins is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. For over 12 years she has worked with a diverse group of individuals facing both physical and mental health challenges, providing support with crisis intervention and helping them manage stress, anxiety, anger, and depression. Much of Sherene’s professional experience comes from collaborating with treatment teams in acute medical hospitals and psychiatric settings.
Sherene graduated from Baylor University with a Master’s in Social Work. She utilizes approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, reality therapy, and person-centered techniques.
Sherene believes most people experience difficult days, negative experiences, and ongoing life challenges. Every day brings opportunities to learn, grow, and equip ourselves with the tools and resources to create more good days and positive experiences. Know that you are powerful beyond measure. Relationships problems
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
Anxiety. Sherene enjoys working with "thinkers" challenging thought processes and exploring which thoughts are healthy to keep or discard.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
Humans don't get to be perfect, Humans are incredible capable and often resilient.

What can clients expect in their first session with you?
During the first session, Sherene encourages clients to share their stories. She believes that therapy is a collaborative process where both therapist and client work together to identify challenges with the intention of finding solutions.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
In the first session, Sherene acknowledges that the therapeutic process is not always easy and gives clients credit for taking the important step of exploring therapy and showing up. She takes time to discuss what therapy entails and helps clients identify their personal goals for the process. Additionally, she reviews practical aspects such as scheduling, session frequency, and what steps to take in the event of a mental health crisis.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first session?
Sherene's demeanor is gentle, but honest and transparent.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
She enjoys a variety of outdoor activities including running, hiking, camping, and traveling. Passionate about nature, she loves exploring both mountains and oceans. Beyond her professional life, she treasures spending time with her amazing husband and two children. Ever curious and adventurous, she occasionally seeks out new hobbies and challenges herself by stepping outside her comfort zone.
