About Scott
I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with 6 years of experience supporting adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, identity exploration, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I specialize in working with LGBTQ+ clients, ethically non-monogamous individuals, and anyone seeking a warm, affirming space to gain clarity, strengthen coping skills, and build a deeper sense of self. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in helping you feel seen, understood, and supported.
I earned my master’s degree in counseling psychology from Angelo State University, where I developed a strong foundation in solution-focused, trauma-informed, and cognitive-behavioral approaches. I integrate evidence-based practices with curiosity, connection, and affirmation to help identify patterns that no longer serve you and support your growth.
Reaching out can feel vulnerable, and I want you to know that your experiences are valued here. Together, we can uncover your strengths, navigate challenges, and create space for healing, resilience, and authentic living. I’m here to empower you to move forward with confidence and clarity, and I would be honored to support you on your journey.

"As a queer, ethical non-monogamous man, I help LGBTQ+ adults navigate life’s challenges, heal from past wounds, and build the confidence to live more authentically."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I decided to become a counselor because I’ve always been drawn to supporting people through life’s challenges and helping them uncover their strengths. I’m passionate about creating a safe, affirming space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered to heal and grow. My own experiences with religious, childhood and other past traumas inspired me to help others navigate similar struggles with compassion and care."
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with LGBTQ+ adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, identity issues, and life transitions.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I wish all clients knew that healing is a journey, not a quick fix, and every small step you take toward understanding yourself, building resilience, and living authentically matters.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In your first session, we’ll get to know each other, explore your goals, and begin shaping a collaborative approach. Early sessions focus on creating a safe space, identifying patterns, and starting to build practical tools, insight, and self-compassion.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
As a queer man, my experiences inform my practice, helping me create a compassionate, affirming space. I value authenticity, advocacy, and meeting clients where they are while supporting growth, resilience, and self-compassion.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor therapy to each client by listening closely, honoring their experiences, and using approaches like solution-focused, trauma-informed, and CBT strategies. Together, we create a personalized, affirming space to build insight, resilience, and self-compassion.
