About Raquel
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 28 years of experience providing care to diverse populations across Texas. My work has focused on supporting adults, seniors, and individuals living with chronic illness through compassion, collaboration, and evidence-based care. I strive to create an inclusive, safe, and empowering environment where clients can explore challenges, build resilience, and discover meaningful paths toward emotional well-being and personal growth.
I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Tulane University, where I began developing my clinical behavioral foundations and methodologies. My therapeutic approach integrates cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness therapy, and psychoeducation to create personalized treatment plans that align with each client’s unique needs and goals.
I am dedicated to fostering healing and self-discovery by helping clients develop coping strategies and strengthen their emotional awareness. My goal is to provide a supportive and nonjudgmental space where clients feel understood, empowered, and encouraged to make meaningful, lasting changes.

"As a mother, woman of color, and daughter of senior parents, I deeply understand the challenges, transitions, and emotions that come with balancing the many stages and roles of life—and I bring that understanding into the care and compassion I offer my clients."

What types of clients do you work best with?
Adults and Seniors.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I want my clients to know that I am here to guide and support them as they do the work to heal and grow. The process happens at their own pace, and my role is to create a safe, supportive space where they can make meaningful progress on their own terms.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In the first session, clients can expect a warm and welcoming space where we’ll take time to get to know each other. I’ll gather some background and personal history to better understand their experiences, and we’ll discuss what brings them to therapy. Together, we’ll identify their goals and begin shaping a plan that supports their journey toward growth and healing
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I meet clients where they are. Everyone’s journey is different, so I tailor therapy to fit each person’s unique experiences, strengths, and goals. Together, we move at a pace that feels comfortable and meaningful for them.
