Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I have a passion for helping others in their journey towards healing and personal growth.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I strive to create a supportive and empathic environment for all clients. However, I find that I work best with individuals who are motivated to explore their thoughts and emotions, open to introspection, and committed to personal growth.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I'm excited to work with clients who are motivated and open to exploring new perspectives. Seeing clients make meaningful progress and witnessing their resilience and insight along the way is what drives my passion for therapy.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
It's okay to ask for help. Seeking therapy is a brave and proactive step towards self-care. Additionally, therapy is a collaborative process. Progress may not always be linear, but every step forward, no matter how small, is significant.
Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?
I chose to practice at Thriveworks because of its commitment to providing high-quality, client-centered care.
What inspires you?
I am inspired by the opportunity to connect with others on a meaningful level.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
Clients can expect a safe and confidential environment where we'll discuss their concerns, goals, and the therapeutic process. We'll begin to outline a personalized plan and establish trust and collaboration for our work together.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
In the first session, my primary goal is to establish a strong therapeutic alliance built on trust, empathy, and collaboration. I strive to gain a comprehensive understanding of their background, experiences, and goals for therapy.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first session?
Clients should know that I prioritize creating a safe and supportive space for their healing journey. Additionally, I am dedicated to ongoing learning and staying updated on effective therapeutic techniques to best serve their needs.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
In my free time, I enjoy engaging in various activities that help me recharge and find balance. I particularly enjoy spending time outdoors, whether it's hiking in nature, playing tennis, or horseback riding.
What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?
One thing that defines me on a non-professional level is my love for exploring new cultures through travel. Traveling allows me to broaden my perspective, immerse myself in different environments, and connect with people from diverse backgrounds.
Can you tell us about a success you had with a client?
One success I had with a client was helping them overcome severe anxiety through a combination of CBT and mindfulness techniques. As a result, they experienced a significant reduction in symptoms, improved self-confidence, and better stress-management skills. Witnessing their progress and newfound sense of control was incredibly rewarding.
